4.5 Stars – Great Device, but Wish It Had a USB-C Option The BENFEI USB-C Hub has been a solid addition to my setup, providing the essential connections I need for my Samsung S23U DeX setup and other devices. It works seamlessly for connecting a portable monitor via HDMI, along with a keyboard and mouse. I originally purchased this hub to use with a Dell 14 Portable Monitor (P1424H), but I ended up returning that monitor because it only supported USB-C/DisplayPort input, and we couldn't find a workable HDMI-to-USB-C adapter. Unfortunately, converting HDMI to USB-C isn’t easily done because it requires specific support for DisplayPort Alt Mode, which most hubs, including this one, don’t offer. One small downside is that this hub doesn’t come with a USB-C output option. While this isn't a huge issue for me, having that option would have made the hub more versatile and avoided some of the frustrations I had with the purchasing/returning headache with the Dell monitor. Despite that, it performs exactly as expected and has been reliable in my daily use. For the price this little hub is awesome, my work usually supplies a green hub but they forgot. I didn’t have time to wait so I bought this one. This hub is perfect for my work needs. Able to extend displays and have extra usb ports!

Seems to be good quality. I like that it has a cord so it’s not directly attached to the side of my laptop. I ordered one that fit directly into the side of my MacBook Pro laptop. It didn’t always stay secure and therefore the at times the connection was not good. This solved that problem! I’m happy! :-) ... show more

This USB C works with my 2017 Apple MacBook Pro, Acer KG2410 monitor via HDMI, ScanSnap scanner, and Logitech wireless mouse via dongle. Everything, including power delivery to the Mac, works smoothly at a great price. However, the HDMI doesn't port doesn't work when I connect a portable external HDD to the USB A port. I can live with this because the Mac has another USB C port. I have not tried a powered external HDD yet. ... show more

The quality is pretty good. It has a short cord length but it has the necessary. Enough usb ports. Worked well with my pc in windows 11 tranfer speed was good too in 3.0 usb ports
