So far 5 Stars. Second FAN I bought. First one went right back due to POS (remote) Flaws. This is also to Replace a fan I bought a while back that you could not even feel blowing unless you put you hand to it. Do not buy Enclosed Fans. Get one with Blades like this, they will put out wind. Buy a name you have heard of, or it will be a POS. This one blows very well and the remote works all the features. Con. They said 4 Speeds? Yeah, one if Off. BUT the three speeds are good enough. So far, and it is Summer, I have only needed slow. And the Shower Curtains do wave even in the low breeze. Pro. I have mixed feelings on this product. It's easy to install, the lights are adjustable and will meet or exceed your expectations, and they remember your settings even after turned off by the wall switch. If you have two of these in the same room, your remote operates both of them equally so keep that in mind if you want to control them individually. It can be done if you learn how to aim the remote at the right fan/light to you want different from the other. That being said what's not to like? Don't expect a big air flow from the fans. They are very small and even at their max speeds the air TWO of them move over my stove area on my 10 foot ceilings is minor. It does move some air, but don't expect too much (with 10 foot ceilings). The only other thing is I installed these into two recessed canister light sockets. Unless your mounting fixtures are not loose, you can expect the fans to wobble. My canisters are just tight enough that the wobble is iminium but just be aware if not fairly tight they will wobble during fan operation. The lights alone make them worth while if you want to replace your old kitchen floodlights, even if you don't use the fans. The lights are a WHITE WHITE color so if you're looking for a warmer feel this is not the product for you. ... show more

I bought one of these for my garage and it worked so well I bought another one. Very easy to setup and install. Seems to be built well. Has good air movement. Nice bright light. One remote can operate multiple fans. The only downside to these fans is they are a bit noisy as compared to a true ceiling fan. Mighty and effective! We installed this in a very small toilet room. The room has a tiny central a/c vent, but rhe room was always hot and the air stagnant. This little fan does an excellent job circulating the air and keeping me cool. Some folks say it's noisy. It's truly not. Yes, if your sitting quietly and you don't have the exhause fan on, you'll hear it, but not at an obnoxious level. But it is definitely half or less than the sound of the exhaust fan. ... show more

    • beware of fans - many blow air up instead of down and are defective

So, we purchased 2 of these to put in our can lights in the bathroom to finally get some air moving in there. I didn't feel much air movement and after doing some research, realized that the fans were blowing air up instead of down. I had seen several reviews mentioning this but thought Bell & Howell would have either a) have come up with a fix or b) had scrapped the bad batch of fans. Well, not so. So, we had to take the two fans down. I have balance issues and cannot get up on a step ladder to reach the 10' ceiling, and my husband is in ill health and has had shoulder surgery so cannot use his right arm. We had to unscrew the 2 fans, both extenders, and then put the original bulbs back up. It was a major production and my husband is now exhausted. Then realized that when they ship the fans to you, the blades are not attached to the fan in the product boxes. But the blades do not come back off so there is no way the fans will fit back in the boxes - neither the Bell and Howell product box nor the Amazon shipping box. So I tried to contact the seller - absolutely no response. I called Bell and Howell to see if there was a fix - nope. They said that probably someone purchased a bad batch and is selling them. So, there you go. Anyhow, tried to chat online with Amazon to be sure that if I sent the fans back without the original product box it would be okay. The guy on chat could not figure out what I was talking about, so asked for a call by a person. Calls didn't work - went straight to voicemail - didn't even register on my phone. So, I called them. Person said it was okay to ship them back without original product box, but it had to be in two boxes, as when they shipped them to us, they shipped them in two boxes. Well, I don't have two boxes. By now, we've spent hours putting fans together and putting them up, taking them back down, calling B&H and doing research to see if there was a fix for this evidently known issue, trying to communicate with the seller and Amazon, and now I have to find another box to ship the defective item back, which will take more time. Then I have to package them and go to UPS or wherever. Seller should have replaced defective items and I should not have had to go through all this to return defective items, especially for a KNOWN ISSUE. I am very disappointed with Amazon, the seller, and Bell and Howell. I would suggest you do not purchase this item unless you have low ceilings and don't mind going through all the hassle of putting together, putting up, taking down, trying to repackage, and returning them.
