I bought this after getting stung on the hand by a yellow jacket while taking my hot tub cover off. After some cursing and etc. I realized that a yellow jacket nest was INSIDE my hot tub spa's pump and control panel compartment. There is no way to access this area without slowly unscrewing the access panel and removing it. On top of that, the yellow jackets were flying in and out of long ventilation slits, so I couldn't even be sure WHERE inside the compartment the actual nest would be...right where they were flying in or somewhere deeper in the box...left, right, top? I got bids from exterminators and they were all over $500. Ouch. This cheap but effective bee suit gave me the necessary protection to pull the panel, stick my head inside and find the nest (which was just inches above my head at this point; the nest was in fact not right where the yellow jackets were entering but higher on the top of the compartment). With hornet killer around dusk I zapped the nest good and I managed to avoid any more stings. I'll now store the suit for next summer, when I'm sure I'll find another inconvenient yellow jacket nest somewhere. It's cheap insurance; yellow jacket stings REALLY hurt!

I wore a hat to keep the back off the suit off my neck, and a thick sweatshirt and jeans and didn’t get stung. The material is kind of thin and I worried that yellowjackets would be able to sting through it. The zippers come together in the front under a flap that you can tape down if you’re very paranoid.

I bought this as an early Christmas present for my son-in-law at his request because he had a wasp problem in his barn that he needed to address. He LOVES this product and is looking for any excuse to wear it. Sturdy product and great price.

The sizes go by height so it is very large. The material is not very thick so I got stung more than once, and the head net has gaps (bees got into the hood & suite). When I am dealing with a calm hive it is the perfect suit.

Overall, I'm glad I got the suit. It let me get close to the hornet's nest that's behind the cladding/siding of the house (can't see it, but a thin stick goes deep through a small entrance hole). First thing I did was set up a vacuum hose by the entrance -- and if professionals will see this and baulk, I have to say at least it worked! Sucked down dozens. Then sprayed some insecticide using the thin tube that comes attached and after a while put some Bayer Tempo powder at the entrance. All this without feeling a thing despite several flying at me and a couple bouncing off the suit. The only downside was the slight discomfort of the crotch area being tight, limiting my movement. I am 5'11" (just over 180 cm), so the XL is the right size. And it was in terms of shoulder width and glove fit. I'm just glad I didn't need to make an sudden movements reaching upwards. Pros *Reasonable price *Well designed, i.e., headcover has good protection between it and body suit *Elastic around ankles and wrists appears strong (don't know about long term, but for first use was great) *Good, thick quality cloth *Suede (or could be faux suede) gloves Cons *Size needs redefinition, or tweaking between shoulder and crotch

I was about to trim some brush in an area famous for its bees. So I thought I'd outsmart them and purchase some protection. Now, I'd only intended on wearing this once, and only for a few hours at that, but it turns out this is not a wear-it-once-and-throw-it-away item. I was surprised to find this suit, at this price, to be very well made and even fit correctly. I'm 6'1", 210 lbs., and the XXL still has room for more. So the day I got my suit I was out cutting that brush. The suit works so well that I didn't even see a bee, not a single one. Oh well, I'd rather have a bee suit and not need it, than need a bee suit and not have one!! But wait, during the day I did go over and remove a big hornet's nest for a neighbor. I saw a lot of bees then, and they were not happy bees. They swarmed all over me, it's simply creepy when they are walking across that net in front of your face, staring at you with all five of their angry little eyes. You know they want you, they want you bad. All though I wasn't very confident at that point, this suit did its job. Even after pulling the nest (about 1' across by the way) out of the tree, dropping it twice (1st-time jitters), and stuffing it into a garbage bag I got stung exactly zero times. :-))

I’m taking time to write a review to say how amazing this Bee suit works. I bought two suits one for me and one for my father-in-law. We had a very, very bad yellow jacket infestation. Once we put on our suits, we got a dry vac, filled with water and dish soap and started to disturb the nest. Within a minute we were swarmed with easily over 100 yellow jackets. They were all over us and even on the screen that covers your face. Although it was nerve-racking, not once did we get stung. I highly highly recommend this suit for any kind of Yellowjacket/ wasp removal.

About a month ago while mowing the yard I got attacked by a nest of ground yellow jackets. Despite marking and avoiding the nest for the next time I mowed, I got attacked last week by a new ground yellow jacket nest near the first. After that I decided to invest in a bee suit. As others have said before, this feels and looks very well made for the price. There were no rips or holes. It came very well packaged. I am pleased with how tight the elastic is around the wrists and ankles. I got the XL based on the height suggestion (I'm 5'9). I could have probably sized down to L though as it's very baggy. I don't mind since I'd rather have more protection. I plan to wear a long sleeve cotton shirt and jeans underneath when I mow next and attempt to get rid of the nests. I will update on my success with the product once that happens. Update: I successfully killed both ground nests of yellow jackets while wearing the suit. I was able to get very close to apply pesticide powder. I also mowed the yard without getting stung. Be it there may not have been another nest in the yard, but I felt secure wearing the suit in case there was. Will keep for future mowing in case this situation happens again.
