It is ok but would have been better if the side touching the steering wheel was softer for less chance for abrasion marks in the steering wheel. It is usable.

Love this tray! Came across it on Amazon and it’s been fantastic. I usually watch TV on my lunch break in my car. This has been amazing. Easy to clean up and holds all my stuff firmly in place! Recommend it and might buy one for my hubs Tesla as well!

I bought this to eat more comfortably in the car when necessary. (I like eating at tables) But I actually ended up using it for working in my car. The side with the cup-spot; has a lip that that is perfect length and height to hold the bottom of a 16” MacBook Pro. So I rest the hinge of my laptop on the steering wheel itself while it’s bottom edge of the keyboard is held by the lip of the tray. It’s sturdy enough to type on. But I do put a piece of padding between the bottom of the steering wheel and the tray to keep it from marring up the front bottom of the steering wheel.

I doubt this was "made for Tesla". It just happens to fit, so they added "Tesla" to the description and upped the price. Anyway, it does fit, but the surfaces that touch the steering wheel are a bit abrasive. I worry that repeated use can cause premature wear to the leather on the wheel. My Model 3 is old enough to have real leather on the wheel. Newer 3's and Y's have "vegan" leather [read: synthetic], which may wear even faster. It is also large and thick enough to be a bit cumbersome for cabin storage. The frunk/trunk would be better. (Don't believe the description when it says to stow it in the seat pocket. You'd definitely stretch it out, and it would still stick out awkwardly.) Personally, I'm going to leave it in the garage until I'm going on a road trip.

The fits on the steering wheel perfect and gives my husband just the room he needs to work on his computer in the driver's seat. Easy to slip on and off, and is small enough to be stored under the seat when not in use. A very functional purchase!

This steering wheel tray fits great, is sturdy and holds food, a laptop, writing materials, etc. Easy to put on and take off. This is one of those buys that I'm extremely glad I made even though it seems like it wouldn't be needed.
