    • Working great, doing what it is supposed to do, helping my husband turn over in bed & get up.
I knew when I bought this rail that it was going to be a challenge for me to install, and it was. Had to move our king-size memory foam on the one side where the rail was to be installed, then move the mattress and box springs, both twin-size fortunately, so that I could strap the rail to the bedframe. This is what I wanted for the added stability (which is working great). Got it all installed, no problem. The only problem I am seeing is that the vertical part, the bar he holds onto and pulls to turn over, does not stay tight. When he pulls on it the bar moves. The washer on the patient side, where the vertical bars are connected to the horizontal bars, is not metal; it is some kind of foam, which gives. Maybe designed that way? Anyway, the support is still there, and so far no damage seems to have been done to the product. I would just like it to stay more stable and not do this bending, giving thing that it's doing. ... show more

I'm hopefully getting knee surgery in a few months. In the meantime, this bed rail really helps me get up at night to get to the bathroom and in the morning when my knees and back are extremely stiff. I also have a topper on my mattress that likes to slide when I roll over or get up. This rail helps it not slide. The legs are a big plus, I feel more confident getting to my feet while holding and pressing down on the rail. I can see where it would help larger people roll over and get up, it's just so sturdy. Goes together pretty easy. I have a bath chair that also goes together by lining up the holes and the little metal spring pops right in. I can see where this would also be helpful with children who move around in their sleep. I am going to hang a storage pocket to the under rail. It really is very helpful to me. If you have someone that needs help with getting up or rolling over, this rail may be able to give them confidence and some dignity in being able to do more for themselves. Recommend. ... show more

This is my Amazon Vine review for the Regmics Safety Bed Rail with Legs. This is a very sturdy support rail. The legs give it additional support, and the rail length underneath the mattress is so long that even without the legs this rail isn't going anywhere. It's firmly in place. The rail is made of steel and has tall softly padded hand rails. The height is comfortable for grabbing to get out of bed or reposition. It works well on 16" mattresses and adjustable beds. If you follow the instructions provided for assembly, I suggest you begin with step #2 and then go back and add the rails in step #1 because then you will know that your holes are on the correct side - the outside. All holes line up for assembly on the out side so you can easily depress the silver buttons to raise or lower the legs. This assembly takes about thirty minutes. I ordered this for my grandson who has the tendency to move all over the bed when he's sleeping and I keep worrying he is going to go right off the side any moment. The quality of the bedrail is very nice and it was simple to assemble. I just wish it was wider and I should have paid more attention to the size before I ordered it. I am still very pleased with this purchase and happy with it because it has given me a sense of relief and comfort knowing it's there to help block him from going off the bed. This has been super helpful for my elderly mother in law, who sustained a broken arm from a fall this past October. She’s still in need of help getting out of bed and this really has been a huge asset. The only issue we had was the instructions weren’t super helpful or clear, but we were able to figure it out on our own. Assembling this was similar to assembling a cane: Just slide the pieces together and lock them in place with the attached push buttons. And I'm really glad it's so easy because, even though I had purchased this for my elderly mom for whenever she eventually needs it, I ended up using it first when I threw out my lower back. My mattress is deep and squishy, and rolling over then sitting up to get out of bed was unbelievably painful. I was able to assemble and install the rail myself, and, thanks to the legs, it's stable enough for me to yank and push on with all my weight, and it doesn't move. Grabbing onto the rail to help me roll over, and then pushing against it to sit up, took a lot of the load off my back muscles while they were healing. ... show more
