The directions are really lacking some important things like which side of the bed you are using it on? The top gripping rail needs to face a certain direction or its backwards. Words are missing too. Will see how it actually works now that it's put together correctly and in a useful direction. (Directions given in my how to install guide are for a right side of the bed installation. )

I purchased it for my old Mom, it is sturdy and stable, and easy to install, I don't need to worry about my mom's fall over when she got up from her bed. There is also a night light which is helpful for the darkness. It is good for old people when they are not good at walking.

Good solid product. But legs are not long enough to accommodate a thick mattress with a mattress topper. Top of rail barely extends higher than the mattress. Therefore the ability to assist an older person is minimal.
