This is a really great side rail for my dad's hospital bed. The description says the brand is "generic", but it arrived packaged as 'KingPavonini' - which was a pleasant surprise. I had actually previously gotten a different size of that brand for my dad's bed, and wanted to add extra security to the other side as his dementia and confusion has increased. This rail, as the one we already had, is very sturdy and stable, with a nice pouch to keep his handkerchief and other necessities handy. This not as wide as the other one, so doesn't give quite the 'coverage', but is still very useful to keep dad safe and provide a sturdy rail that he can grab to pull himself up when needed. ... show more

This bed rail was easy to put together as the pieces just fit together and the length can be adjusted as needed. I like the fact that the padding on the handle goes all the way across. This makes getting in and out of bed a lot easier for a person with mobility issues. Nice product and recommend.

Very easy to assemble, everything just snaps together. While it does not fold, it is very easy to take apart for easy transport or storage without taking up much space. The tubular construction keeps it relatively light and easy to handle while remaining very sturdy and solid, claims to support people up to 350 lbs. It has antislip strips on the leading edge and a strap to secure it so it does not slide out of place. The wide base that extends far under the mattress provides a sturdy and stable support handle for anyone with stability and mobility issues. The handle has a cushiony anti-slip foam material for a firm grip. It has a fairly wide range of height adjustment to fit different mattress thicknesses 6-16 inches thick.     • Bed rail keeps my 98 year old mother from falling out of bed

I put this bed rail together in about 20 minutes. The instructions were good. I'm using the bed rail for my 98 year old mother who sleeps incredibly close to the edge of the bed. That's because it's too hard for my mother to move herself any more. Everything is an effort. Before the bed rail was installed, she fell out of bed (becuase she sleeps so close to the edge). Since it was installed, she has not fallen out. The bedrail has a place to store glasses, phone, , bottle of water,, meds, remote controller etc. We are using this bedrail on a queen bed with a 14" mattress. We did not use the straps and there has been no movement regarding the bedrail. So far, quite good, ... show more

I needed this for a surgery I had done to help me get out of bed. I chose this one because it looked simple and easier than some of the other options available and it was! I didn't even have to use the strap it came with to secure it because the bars are quite long enough to hold it in place for what I needed.
