Placed under my dad, it allows me to gently reposition or turn him without strain or discomfort for either of us. The pad’s handles are sturdy and well-placed, giving me excellent leverage. The fabric slides easily across sheets, making repositioning smooth and friction-free. Dad seems more comfortable, and my risk of injury has greatly diminished. It has held up perfectly after numerous washings—no fraying or loose stitching. Honestly, I only regret not purchasing this pad sooner. Purchase these when the ‘people mover’ pads supplied by hospice would slip and we would have to layer two of them to help our mother sit up in bed or roll her over. With this we only had to use one. The quality is good and it is washable. I would not describe it as soft, but it is not itchy or uncomfortable. The best part are the handles. These alone made it worth the purchase.
