I keep coming back to this blow dryer for my curly hair days... I've had my current dryer since 2019. It is my second dryer. I think I got my first one back in the 90s or early 2000s for about $15.99 or $17.99. I just remember thinking, "I've never spent less than $20 on a blow dryer. I hope it works," and then found myself loving it. Both have lasted me many years each. My current dryer is on the fritz, a bit faster than my first one, but still a respectable 7 years, and I'm going to buy another. I have honestly never had an issue with either one in the early years, and it's only at what I feel is its natural "end of life" that I find it overheating. After 7 years, I feel like I've gotten a lot of use out of it, and I have no complaints. It dries my hair without frizz, and because the diffuser is part of the unit, it doesn't annoyingly pop off mid-styling like some other dryers with snap-on diffusers. I have very, very thick hair that I normally allow to air dry but it takes hours and sometimes I'd like to shower at night. At the salon the stylist always uses a diffuser dryer like this and it dried my hair quickly while preserving the curl, so I decided to give this one a try. Well, it's a success story! This dryer has separate settings for both fan and heat level, and a button to block the heat completely so only cool air comes out. The cool air button only works so long as you keep it pressed, but I found the low heat and fan settings worked fine and left my curls bouncy and shiny after just ten minutes or so, moving to a different hair section every few minutes. The dryer head is pretty large, it has to be to let you pile your curls onto it, but the dryer's not heavy so it's not hard to manage, or maintain your balance while working with this. Just got this diffuser and I’m loving it I like to shape unlike traditional hair dryers they’re so uncomfortable to hold. This product is amazing and just like any other diffuser it takes time to dry your curls I recommend using the low warm heat on low speed to minimize frizz overall 10/10 will come back in 3 months to follow up!! ... show more

I am a practical person...this is a practical review. Anyone who says this is a poor product, apparently, or at least in my opinion, is a novice or never learned how to dry curly hair properly. The setting choices are appropriate and the amount of power/forced heat is great. My hair never got sucked into the back of the dryer (how does that even happen if your are using the curly method?) When drying curly hair there should be the least amount of contact with the hair save the actual hot air. Also the diffuser is supposed to be close, those claiming frizz, seriously does not know how to dry curly hair. I have 3c hair which naturally contains a high amount of frizz and this dryer eliminates the issue, of course with the help of product. My curls (shoulder length when pulled straight) come out healthy and shiny and I get mad compliments. It's the perfect dryer for cold weather (Chicago) when it is impossible to go outside with wet hair and in the hot and humid, it dries the hair w/frizz control product perfectly so you don't have to worry about frizz creeping up on you once you leave the house. Would absolutely recommend the product. Yes it is bulky, so what, it gets the job done quickly. No, it does not tuck into a small corner of your suitcase, but then again neither do my stilettos and I still manage to pack them. The handle and weight is fine with me. Yes it is loud, so what, it gets the job done quickly. It is not a Mercedes 7 series, it's a hair dryer. It has never shut off on me and I use the high settings for the most part because of the thickness of my hair. Cord length is fine. I don't need to walk 3 yards away from the outlet to get to my bathroom mirror and sink. Seriously the cord length complaints are bogus. ... show more

I only use a hair dryer with a diffuser, and the connection between the diffuser and dryer is the part that always breaks. Duct taping it, having it fall off while in use, having to buy a new expensive hair dryer every few years…just because the diffuser won’t stay on. This dryer has solved the problem. I’ve had it for a year and a half, it looks and works like new. The diffuser is part of the machine (although apparently it is removable, I am not risking that) so there’s no weak point to get out of shape. Also, it’s smaller and lighter than a dryer+diffuser. Much easier to pack. Works great, the “hot” setting is not so hot it burns your scalp. The “warm” is very lightly warm. I love this thing. ... show more

I love this diffuser. I’m on my 3rd one. Bought the last one in Nov 22. It’s still working, but may be slowing down in motor power. So I’m gonna be ahead of the game and order my 4th one to have on hand. It’s easy to hold and maneuver. Light weight. Dries my mid length curly hair quickly and keeps my curls in tact.
