It seems every few years my hairdryer starts over heating or needs replaced for some other malfunction. I've tried various hairdryers and always kept yearning for the one I remembered being the best. Finally, I tracked this one down, and it's the best. It dries my hair quickly without being too hot. The noise level is fine - the extra drying power thankfully does not mean it's extra loud. I have sensitivity in my hands and wrists due to repetitive motion, and I find this comfortable to hold. And as a really nice bonus, it smooths my hair. I used to have little frizzies along my part that would stand up. It's been going on for so long I thought it was just something I have to live with due to my wavy hair. From the very first use with this hairdryer, I noticed the frizzies were completely gone. My hair is smooth and even looks shinier. I really didn't expect that, and I love it! I don't know how they do it, but something about the design of this drier definitely dries my hair faster without excessive heat and smooths my hair. The box was taped all over, probably Amazon sent me a preopened returned dryer. And of course the brush was missing but the hair dryer works good. It is louder than my previous GaMa and the hot temperature is not actually that hot. I'm still figuring out if that is a good thing or not, probably good for my hair.
