I have a split king adjustable bed but didn't like how the mattresses would slide apart, especially when my dog was walking up the middle between us. She is a 3.5 legged rescue and I worry about her twisting or injuring her only good front leg. I bought one of these previously to join the beds across the middle and it worked great until the plastic buckles snapped. This one has nice heavy duty metal buckles. The material is nice and sturdy/strong and is easy to install. It is wide enough to secure the mattresses together nicely yet still narrow enough to allow the adjustable head and foot to move independently. I did purchase split top king sheets rather than completely split sheets so this could be installed under the sheets.

I don’t think it actually helps at all. My mattress feels no difference Yeah it might help keep it from slipping but the gap is still there and as soon as I pull the slightest bit the strap just slides right out. Not impressed

It's not like it looks in pictures it is very narrow it takes 3 to do a king size bed ,otherwise it works but if your mattress is 17 inches or more it barely works.

... Than any of the others that we have tried for this purpose. And you'd be surprised to find that there are quite a few different little systemsor gimmicks that are made for this very purpose. And UNsurprisingly, I do believe we have tried them all. And there were several good ones that functioned somewhat the way that it was supposed to. Some actually accomplished the goal but only for limited time before they started to separate again. This is the first one that we have found that seems to hold itself together very well.

I wanted to try this out for a few days before reporting back. We have a split king adjustable bed (2 twin XL mattresses on their own adjustable bases) which is wonderful when one of us wants to sit up or raise our feet but generally awful if you want to cuddle, make the bed, or otherwise not eventually end up with the Grand Canyon between us. I once lost a Chihuahua to the great divide. We put this across both mattresses near the center so the beds would still adjust on their own to some degree, and we put it under our separate mattress toppers so we wouldn't feel it. It's so thin like a sheet that it wouldn't have been noticeable without the toppers I don't think anyways. Our bottom sheets don't fully cover (again they are 2 twin XL sheets - I could top with a regular King sheet and it would be fine) but it's just an issue at the center between us and doesn't affect the function of the bottom sheet otherwise. But I'm happy to report that our beds no longer part in the evening hours. We have not lost any further Chihuahuas, and we have a secure bridge if we want to roll over and snuggle with eachoter and not end up being sucked into the void. The 2 straps easily go under the bottom of the mattresses and a tension metal clip holds each one so you can cinch it down snug. If you cinch it down too snug you'll compress the mattress and notice it so go easy - you just want to keep the mattresses together. I'm very happy with this as it does exactly what I hoped - keep our beds together while still allowing them to function individually.
