I have used the Beatbot Sora 10 in my pool several times and have been very impressed by it. I have to confess my initial expectations were minimal, as this is the lower cost model in Beatbot's product line. I have a larger in-ground concrete pool with a complicated shape, a shallow beach/sun deck area and two benches (and lots of dog hair). My pool would be a challenge for any pool robot. The Sora 10 is able to navigate these features fairly well compared to the others that I have used. While no rechargeable cordless pool robot has the unlimited power of one that has a cord, I'm very surprised at just how much dirt, pollen, and dog hair this unit can clean. I'm finding the cordless pool robot a lot more convenient to use than my older corded robot and I'm surprised that I use it about three times more often than my corded robot because it's so quick and easy. I have a large dog with long hair. I have had no problems at all with dog hair clogging the cleaner roller or impeller system and that has been a problem in the past. The filter basket is large and very easy to clean compared to the complicated one in my older corded robot. Battery life is very good and it really can run in maximum time mode for a little over 300 minutes / 5 hours and recharges in only about 3 or 4 hours. I have also had no problems at all with the app using both an Apple iPhone and a Samsung android cell phone. The Sora 10 earns a five star rating at this price point. If you can afford it, I suggest that you consider going up one notch to the Beatbot Sora 30. That model has a larger battery and roller cleaners both front and rear. So if this is the lower cost Beatbot, I'm wondering what is the top of the line Beatbot capable of? ... show more

I am a big tinkerer and have tried multiple pool robots over the years—both wired and wireless—most recently coming from the much more expensive Beatbot Aquasense Pro. I have an in-ground pool in sunny South Florida that gets used year-round. It sits under two giant olive trees, meaning it gets absolutely hammered with leaves and requires daily sweeping. I had the opportunity to test the Sora 10, and despite being a budget model, it honestly outperforms my previous high-end robots in almost every way that actually matters. It is the perfect example of "less is more." Here is my breakdown after putting it through the wringer: The Good Rock-Solid Connectivity: This is a huge upgrade from the Aquasense Pro, which I had to return twice due to network drops. The Sora 10 connected on the first try and stayed connected—even when I intentionally tried to trip it up by throwing it on a separate VLAN. The app just works. Superior Charging Experience: Instead of a finicky dock with corroding beams like my last robot, the Sora 10 uses a plug-in port. You actually feel it plug in securely, so there’s no guessing game on a sunny day about whether it's actually charging. Great Cleaning & Larger Basket: For a fraction of the price of premium models, it simply cleans better. The basket is larger, doesn't jam, and is much easier to clean out. With the heavy leaf load my pool gets, this is a true "set it and forget it" device. Easy Setup & Hardware: Out of the box, it’s incredibly straightforward with a simple one-button operation and super easy instructions. The blue-green design is fun, and the unit is delightfully lightweight, making it easy to chuck into the pool. I purposefully left it outside without a cover to test its durability, and it fired up perfectly every time. Room for Improvement Parking & Retrieval: This is my biggest gripe. It almost never parks properly at the wall when it finishes, meaning I have to fish it out of the middle of the pool almost daily. Hooking the handle is annoying, it's hard to spot at night if the pool is cloudy, and for some reason, it unexpectedly revs every time you pull it out of the water. Coverage Gaps: While it handles the main floor beautifully, it consistently misses curved corners, the sundeck, and sometimes the stairs. I give it a pass because of the budget price point, but the software navigation could definitely be tweaked. Durability Quirks: Both the Sora 10 and my previous Beatbot get scratched and banged up pretty easily. The top lid on this model feels a bit flimsy and cheap—sometimes it’s hard to tell if it's fully latched. I also have some long-term concerns about battery degradation and the exposed middle exhaust/rubber gaskets. Battery Life: The charge feels just a little too short for the duration of the runs it tries to complete. The Verdict If you don't need all the fancy bells and whistles and just want a machine that reliably does exactly what it was designed to do—clean your pool—this is a dope piece of tech that packs a serious punch. Hose Tangles are a thing of the past!

This pool vacuum robot has been a great addition to my pool maintenance routine, especially because it can clean shallow water platforms, which are usually hard to manage with standard pool cleaners. The cleaning performance is very good. It picks up dirt, sand, leaves, and small debris effectively, leaving the pool floor and shallow areas much cleaner. It is especially useful for steps, ledges, and tanning ledges where debris often collects. The connectivity is simple and convenient. It connects easily, and the controls are easy to understand. Being able to check or manage the cleaner without much effort makes the whole process more convenient. The ease of use is excellent. Setup is straightforward, and there is no complicated installation required. Just charge it, place it in the pool, and let it run. The filter is also easy to remove and clean after use. I really like that it is cordless. Not having a cord makes it much easier to use, and there is no worry about tangling or dealing with long cables around the pool. It moves freely and is much more convenient than a corded cleaner. The charging process is simple and hassle-free. It is easy to connect to the charger, and once charged, it is ready for the next cleaning cycle. The battery life is strong enough for regular pool cleaning. It runs long enough to clean the main pool area and shallow water platform effectively, which makes it reliable for routine maintenance. Overall, the performance is impressive. The robot moves well, cleans efficiently, and does a great job in areas that are usually difficult to clean manually. It saves time, reduces effort, and keeps the pool looking fresh with minimal work. Spendy (for me!) but worth it!

This is a powerul tool for our pool. Stirred up a lot of calcium; which is a good thing, but took me a few days to get the pool back to clear. It's suction is incredible and it does a great job on the water line. Our previous corded pool vacuum quit. We shopped and read reviews and decided on the Beatbot cordless vacuum. It was on sale at the time of purchase that was a plus also. It works very well . I definitely recommend. The basket I like because because it picks up the finer or smaller debris. It climbs the walls and seems to clean all surfaces. The battery charges and does not run out before it has completed the cleaning cycle. Stabilty is fine . The set up took a bit on my phone, had to update after the first use. It has worked very well. Great price, great results

It was so easy to set up. We have an autoclean pool, but it’s a little older and needed some help. This little vacuum really works well, cleaned the whole pool the first time in 3 hours, and parked itself at the waterline to make retrieval easy. We opened it up and couldn’t believe the debris it found in what we thought was a fairly clean pool. The debris basket was HUGE but easy to take out. Cleanup was a breeze. The price was great for top of the line Beatbot brand. We couldn’t be more pleased with our little bottom feeder! It will save my husband’s back and also save him a lot of time. Simple to use and does the job

The robot cleans the floor and walls well. Ours is a small pool with lots of leaves and debris blowing in and the 'eco friendly' app setting of running 45 minutes every 48 hours just doing the floor seems to suit quite well. It will be interesting to see how well the battery lasts- at present it will do 3 rounds of cleaning before needing a charge. Only reservation is when it surfaces due to low battery it does not connect to the wifi very fast, so has usually gone back down before the notification appears. ... show more
