  • If you have multiple Vehicles then this is what you NEED
The Battery Tender Plus 4 Bank Multibank Charger has been one of the most useful garage tools I’ve purchased. I use it regularly for both my motorcycles and cars, and it has handled everything from traditional lead-acid batteries to lithium batteries without any issues. Having four independent charging banks is incredibly convenient because I can keep multiple vehicles maintained at the same time, especially during periods when some of them sit for a while. The charger automatically manages each battery individually, so I can connect different battery types and not worry about overcharging or damaging them. It’s been excellent for maintaining battery health long term. The setup is straightforward, and the included quick-connect leads make it easy to swap between vehicles or leave permanent connectors installed on motorcycles. The charging indicators are simple to understand, and the unit itself feels very well-built and reliable. What I appreciate most is the peace of mind. My bikes and cars are always ready to start, and I’ve noticed far fewer battery-related problems since using this charger consistently. If you have multiple vehicles with a mix of lithium and standard acid batteries, this is an outstanding investment and well worth the money. ... show more

  • Solid, reliable, easy to use -- going strong after 12+ years of non-stop use Solid, reliable, easy to use -- going strong after 12+ years of non-stop use
**14 years since purchased** Still works like a champ but I've started hearing a slight buzz and high pitched whining when any bank is connected (charging or maintained). Since this is out in my detached shop, I'm not in a hurry to replace it since it still functions properly. But I will be ordering another one to replace this workhorse. ----- **12 years since purchased** This thing hasn't missed a beat. Always connected to 4 batteries 24/7/365 for over a decade and not once has it failed me. The alligator clamps are starting to wear out, which is to be expected but considering I got over a decade of use from the original set, that's not a bad value at all. Being able to buy new alligator clip ends with the quick-disconnect makes replacing them not-a-bother. ------ **Original review*** I have a fleet of 7 company vehicles that only get used a few times per month. I keep 14 spares as well in the garage to have as backups to prevent as little downtime due to battery juice as possible. This little thing works like a champ. I can have a dead battery back to full charge in under 2 days. Once one battery is topped off, I just move the clamps to the next one and keep cycling the batteries every couple of days. This thing has saved me $1000 in new batteries I buy each year, so it's money well spent. I'm thinking about purchasing another 4 bank to decrease the time it takes to top off all my batteries. ... show more

  • Battery Tender best man cave accessory ever
I first purchased my Harley-Davidson V-Rod back in July 2003. By December 2005 the stock battery was dead a mere 29 months after I had purchased the bike. I started searching online thinking that this was unacceptable and wound up purchasing a battery tender jr. to go with the replacement battery. As of the writing of this review (May 11, 2010) the replacement battery is still going strong at 53 months and counting. I was so thrilled with the performance of the battery tender jr. I went out and purchased the 4-bank battery charger so I could hook up all 4 of my vehicles at the same time. Another reference point was I bought my GMC Sierra back in March 2001 and it's battery made it all the way to February 2010. When I took it into AutoZone to be tested the guys at the shop were completely floored that I had a stock battery that made it almost 9 years to the day. It wasn't as if I was particularly kind to this battery either as it spent 3 winters outside in Detroit along the way not to mention I only kept it on the battery tender periodically and over the past 4 years. Considering most automotive batteries come with a 60 month warranty and I made it to month 107 I'd have to say that's a pretty healthy gain in lifetime. I'm still not sure what the battery tender's power consumption is but I'm fairly certain this unit will pay for itself several times over during the life of your vehicles. If you take care of your vehicles then you owe it to them and yourself to add this device to your mancave. I have mounted it to the ceiling and plugged it in the wall outlet next to the garage door opener so I hardly even notice it's there. ... show more

  • Needs longer leads, but good overall unit thus far…
Using this to keep multiple vehicle batteries healthy. It has worked well so far. The only gripe I have is that the leads are a little short and wish they were 2-4 ft longer. Otherwise, seems to be working well!

  • Really great 4-bank charger – excellent quality & fast shipping**
Super happy with this Battery Tender unit. 1.25A per bank is perfect for maintenance, switches to float automatically, and the cables are long and thick. Keeps all my seasonal batteries topped off with zero babysitting. Solid build, easy wall-mount, no heat or noise. Came fast and in perfect shape. Awesome product — highly recommend! ... show more

  • 9 amp hour or 12 volt 17/18 amp hour non-spillable SLA batteries that have anywhere from 4-6 years life still in them and being
Amazon delivered on their Prime 2 day delivery guarantee! Ordered this on Friday, USPS delivered it today (Sunday)! I had forgotten that USPS DOES have Sunday delivery on certain items. I have a friend that brings me all sorts of medical grade SLA/Gel Cell batteries that are pulls from different hospitals portable X-Ray machines. Around here, they change them out right at 1 year whether or not they need changing. My friend works for a big computer company and manages many of the imaging servers for various hospitals in the Midwest and they give the batteries to him rather than having to pay some company to haul them off to recycle. It would be a shame to send good batteries with lots of life left in them to the recycle plant. We are both Amateur Radio Operators and these batteries are usually either 12 volt, 9 amp hour or 12 volt 17/18 amp hour non-spillable SLA batteries that have anywhere from 4-6 years life still in them and being medical grade they are pretty expensive when new. Most Amateurs that operate portable, on batteries love these to power their portable equipment when out in the field and we are able to sell them at a fraction of the cost of new ones at many of the "Hamfests" (amateur radio gatherings) around the area. This charger is ideal as it will quickly charge the good ones and help locate the occasional bad ones. Being able to charge 4 at a time is essential as we usually get the batteries in case lots - 8 per case for the smaller ones and 4 per case for the 17/18 amp hour ones. For the environmentalists out there, I DO take any bad ones I find to one of the local battery shops that offers free recycling on all rechargeable batteries. I did not order the extension cables with mine as my battery charging station is close to the area I store them in and the included 4 foot cables work just fine for me. For other types of operation I would recommend the extensions. Would I buy this again? Yes. Would I recommend it to others? Definitely ... show more

  • Way cool for multiple batteries
I needed this to maintain a bunch of batteries although I have a few Battery Tenders already. I use them because experience shows me they work and Deltran always stood behind their product when one went south on me while under warranty. This year I took home the 3 boat batteries which were added to the two waverunner batteries and the motorcycle and the summer car. This unit took care of the boat and the summer car and they work great as long as you buy the available entension lines so you can get them all out of your way and into the corners of the garage where you won't trip over everything. One plug for 4 independent units is nice. Easily worth the price if you need to regularly maintain 4 batteries and don't appreciate turning the ignition on next season and only getting silence or that weird clicking sound. This is particularly painful on a boat when you're "ready to go". Jump starting is not an option and what a hassle on the water - rutting around inside the bilge area. Just turn it on and leave it alone. The internal programming takes care of all the rest. TRUE STORY: I used my firt Battery Tender on my 1999 Porsche since new and only this year replaced the battery while having service performed and told it wasn't properly holding the charge - after 13 years. That made me a believer for life. Never have I had a battery last me anywhere close to that - not even half that. New Porsche batteries are $200 +/- installed. I will say that I did check cell fluid level annually and topped off with distilld H2O since it was a non-sealed battery from Germay (Varta?). That is all. Yes it will pay for itself, and eliminate frustration and save money if you use it religiously and I got religion a ways back. Thanks Deltran!!! ... show more
