    • I have had several devices from this company's line but their customer service is quite lacking.
I received Battery Tender® 1000 AMP Jump Starter - 8000mAh which I purchased through Amazon. Upon opening and preparing to do the initial charge I noticed that the charging cable was different. While it had the Type C-USB 5VDC, 3A end on the cable there was NOT a Micro USB 5VDC, 2A end on the cable nor the little piece of cable that would connect the two if the Type C was detached in order to use the Micro USB connection. Both the box that it came in and the instruction booklet showed both connectors "piggybacked" but it was obviously quite different. I realize that I should be able to use the Type C to charge the unit but really should have the combination cable, as advertised and if needed. I contacted to company since it was their issue as the double boxes that the item was packaged were theirs and sealed, not Amazon's issue. All Amazon did was over-pack it for delivery. But Deltran was not cooperative at all in trying to rectify the situation and said I need to contact Amazon. I did and the Amazon representative was very helpful and explained my options, even though the problem was within Deltran's own supply chain. Thank you Amazon for being so helpful!! ... show more

I have purchased two of these. I absolutely love them. Winter of 2021 i had a new ram 1500 truck with battery issues right from the get go. Manufacturer would not cover battery under warranty. As a result i needed something as a back up. I bought this device and within two days of receiving it i again had a dead battery in my new truck. I hooked this thing up not really expecting it to be able to jump a cold v8 engine with a dead battery. boy was i pleasantly surprised. It fired my truck right up no problem. I used it twice more before recharging. Once it gets down to 60% of charge or so it does not like to turn over v8 engines but would still start my mower engine and my harley. So based on this i bought another just to keep in the saddle bag of the bike. I have used a number of times as harleys do not like cooler weather either. I highly recommend this item. I think most that have issues are using the wrong port for charging. It comes with a cable with a usb on one end and two plugs on the other. You remove the second plug using only the one made on the end of the cable and charge using the port to the top right that is NOT directly above the usb port under the rubber cover. ... show more

Product is amazing. Bought this from an experience with a friend when battery died on highway. We didn't have to stop and ask a stranger (which can be dangerous based in the area we were in) and all she did was take out the gadget which is compact and easy to store and charge her battery which was finished in 10 minutes. We left and after I soon asked her to send me information on this product. My roommate had a situation where she uses her bike more now than ever with covid, so when she had to go out her battery died because it stalled in the garage for more than a month. This bad boy charged her up. Its easy to use and instructions are very clear. Items like need more advertising. I would have never bought this if it wasn't from being stuck on the highway with my friend. My cable cords always needed juice from another car which is sometimes stressful.     • Garbage - steer clear - won't jump a truck and company won't stand behind their product
$100 wasted, not even able to jump 1 vehicle. Company won't stand behind their product and provide a replacement either. Better to trust a company that stands behind their products that WORK. I attempted to use it to jump start my vehicle, when I went to us it, battery was at 100% (wasn't able to jump the truck), after attempting to jump the truck with it 3 times, the battery then showed 28%, at which point I brought it inside to charge it with a USB C Cable. Now the display is showing 'in' (as if it was charging - it's currently unplugged) and the 28% the 8 is flashing. also the display shows 'TYPE-C'. Device is now a brick.
