This Percantis gold light looks great and the magnetic mount makes charging very simple. The 300-degree rotation is perfect for hitting the right angle on my artwork. However, at 13.8 inches, it is much smaller in person than I expected. My biggest issue is the battery; it definitely doesn’t last the 15 hours promised at full brightness. It’s a decent accent piece, but be ready to recharge it frequently if you use it often.

This light feels much better made than the price suggests. The remote is sturdier than most cheap rechargeable lights, the side control is touch-sensitive, the magnets are impressively strong, and the adjustable pivots help it stay exactly where you set it. Pros • Feels well made and more expensive than expected • Remote is sturdy and actually pleasant to use • USB-C charging is simple and convenient • Strong magnets grip firmly to the mounting plate • Touch-sensitive side control feels nicer than a cheap clicky button • Angle can be adjusted and tightened so it stays put • Works well as both a picture light and a portable reading light • Brightness, color temperature, and timer controls are very handy Cons • Battery-powered, so it still needs occasional recharging • Color options are adjustable white tones, not full RGB colors • Best for art, accent, or reading use rather than replacing a full room light Review I’ve tried a lot of lower-priced rechargeable lights, and most of them give themselves away right away with a flimsy remote or a cheap-feeling build. This one does not. It looks clean, feels solid, and honestly seems better made than the price would make you expect. One of the first things I noticed was the remote. A lot of lights in this price range come with those tiny remotes that feel like they belong with a dollar-store toy. This one is much sturdier and nicer in the hand. The control on the side of the light is also touch-sensitive instead of a regular plastic button, which gives it a more polished feel. The magnets are much stronger than I expected too. Once it grabs the plate, it really grabs, and that makes the whole setup feel secure. I also really like that you can adjust the screws and tighten the angle so the light stays where you want it instead of slowly drifting out of position. Functionally, it does a lot. The remote makes it easy to change brightness, adjust the white tone from warmer to cooler, and use the timer settings without having to get up. USB-C charging is another nice touch and makes it easier to live with day to day. I bought it for one use, but I’ve also been using it for reading in bed because it can sit flat and works surprisingly well that way too. That flexibility, plus the solid build, makes this feel like serious value for the money. For the price, this is one of those products that feels noticeably better than expected.

This is a great picture light. It hung on the wall easily and I really appreciate that the remote doesn't also accidently activate other remote lights I have which can be annoying. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the light fixture itself is crooked. It's like the arm was bent somewhere during manufacturing and there isn't a way to fix it. It just looks crooked on my wall even though the base is level. Otherwise it is a wonderful light with lots of great options.
