I am extremely impressed with the Baseus VD1 Pro Solar Dash Cam. The front 4K video quality is crystal clear and the rear 1080P footage is more than enough for everyday driving. Night performance is excellent thanks to the STARVIS sensor — details are sharp even in very low light. One of my favorite features is the solar-powered, hardwire-free parking mode. It’s so convenient not having to connect it to the car battery, and it still provides reliable monitoring while my car is parked. The voice control works smoothly, and the 5GHz WiFi makes downloading footage quick and simple. Setup was easy, the app is user-friendly, and the included 32GB card is a nice bonus. Great dash cam but its missing key futures. You won't be able to connect it to a Hotspot for remote live viewing. Also, hardwiring to a battery is necessary for parking mode. Contacted support via phone. They just took my information and told me that support will get back to me. Its pointless, I need the problem to be fixed asap, not next week. I will return the item.

A nice unit so far. Install was easy and quality seems fine for video. The app is odd that it's the same baseus app as the one my earbuds use. I find I have to connect my phone to it's Wi-Fi before opening the app otherwise it just never connects. I'd like to see that fixed. My other gripe is parking mode gets activated as soon as the case is turned off.... So me closing my car door triggers it. A minute delay option would be nice in future updates

Really impressed with this front and rear dash cam. The 4K front and 1080P rear video look great, super clear during the day and still very good at night. I love the solar battery parking mode so much, no worries about draining the car battery any more. It also comes with a 32GB card, which is a nice bonus. Voice control is handy so I don’t have to mess with the screen while driving, safety always comes first. This is so important to me. Setup was easy and the app works well. Very happy with this product.

Cute, compact camera and very easy to install and set up. Daytime footage is fine, but night driving footage is disappointing despite being set to 4K on the front camera. The biggest issue, however, is MISLEADING MARKETING AND FUNCTIONALITY. This is advertised as a front AND rear dash cam, yet it cannot record both cameras at the same time. The recording settings only allow you to choose either front OR rear, not both simultaneously. This completely defeats the purpose of having two cameras. If you set it to record the front, the rear camera does nothing. If you switch to the rear, the front stops recording. That means if you’re hit from behind while recording the front (or vice versa), you have no footage at all. Other dash cam brands with front and rear cameras record both at the same time, which is what most consumers reasonably expect. This limitation is not clearly disclosed in the product description and feels very misleading. I’m honestly surprised this isn’t mentioned more often in reviews, because it’s a dealbreaker. Due to this limitation, the camera is essentially unusable for real-world incidents, and we’ll be returning it.
