They're comfortable enough . I got them so the kids could eat at the counter. They work out perfectly for the kids at their highest setting and it's a high counter. I use them just fine when doing my course work at the counter as well. I picked these since they have back support, which I do like and they are adjustable for height so they work for both kids and adults. Super easy to put together.
