The media could not be loaded. I got these for free with an Amazon gift card, however for the price point I am still impressed in the quality. Leather feels very durable, the boots are comfortable, and they are still stylish if you were to just wear them out. I would recommend some wing shooters to anyone who wants some nice moc toe work boots but can’t quite afford Thorogoods or Red Wings. I’ve worn Irish setters (steel toe) in the past doing junk removal and with hard abuse they lasted minimum 8 months, my second pair a year. Used them daily to break down furniture and debris.

I want to preface this review by saying that I am only in my second day wearing these boots, but so far I'm super impressed with them. The craftsmanship is really good, especially for the price point. The fit is right on. I actually went to my local Red Wing store to get fitted. I tried on several boots and they all felt good on me, but I liked the look of these the best. I would have bought them right then from Red Wing, but they were out of stock in my size for the style I wanted and were not able to get them within the time frame that I needed them, so I was glad to find them here. I would definitely recommend getting fitted by a professional before buying. I discovered that my Red Wing size was actually slightly bigger than what I had been buying. I am certain that being fitted first contributes to my enjoyment of and comfort in these boots. They fit me perfectly and right out of the box they feel like I have worn them for a while. In other words, they basically already feel like they are broken in and I only expect them to get better as I wear them. As a guy who owns many pairs of boots from several quality brands, I really have to give it up to Red Wing for the design of these Irish Setter Wingshooters. They are definitely quality boots from a quality brand. I can easily recommend them. I will update if anything changes.

Irish setter boots have been hands down the best boots ,of the many different brands I have owned for work and light hunting and just everyday wear. Ordered a 10.5 as my feet are wide at the ball of my foot and most pairs of comparable Boots n the “same size” tend to wear out in that spot and are no longer usable. These boots take a little break in, about a week. But are worth every penny.

This is my second pair of these boots. They are true to size and comfortable. They keep water out and keep my feet warm and dry. They are perfect for construction work! As with most boots, there is a short break in period, but after that the boot conforms to your foot, fit nicely and are flexible with good traction. The laces are great, but they seem to wear out prematurely. Other than that, they are my go-to boot!! Big Rudy

I am rarely if ever compelled to write reviews. However, this boot deserves it. I needed a pair of field boots for fall hunting and general yard work and my old steel toes were shot. I shopped online for looking at several moc toe and smooth toe boots. I cannot justify $290 for USA Red Wings, or anything USA anymore (except LL Bean Maine boots... still the best made in USA deal out there..), so I accepted the fact that I would be buying something imported. I found a pair of Cabela's hunting boots on sale which I bought, then decided to pull the trigger on these as well. They arrived at the same time so I could do a side by side comparison. Two different animals, the Cabela's was more of a waterproof, winterized boot 9-10' tall, while the Wingshooter are 7", lined but not necessarily for winter. The Cabela boot was ok, but definitely has that "imported" faking it feel... especially in the bottom sole. As soon as I put the Irish Setters on, it was like stepping back in time. Yes, they are imported, but you would never know it. Feels like old USA boots used to feel. Excellent soles... fit was perfect for my wide duck feet (12EE)... and it felt broken in right from the get go. And they look good to. The Cabela's are boxed up and ready to return. I think I will buy another pair of Wingshooter's now just for price guarding, and I NEVER do that. They will get field tested hard next month on a week long backwoods deer hunt in Maine, but everything I have seen so far tells me they will be perfect. So I am back and adding to my original review. Best boots I have ever owned Period. I hunt in them. Work in them. Walk the dog for miles through woods and fields. Love them and the fact that Red Wing will refurbish them when needed just adds to the value. Second update. I just. bought my second pair of these Actually I bought the 808 9" version but sent them back as they were just too high on the shin, and uncomfortable to me. Exchanged for 12EE 7" pair like I had bought 2 years ago. Something was different. They were much tighter than the first pair I bought. I called Red Wing and they did say that the last mold has been changed recently. So I exchanged the 12EE for a 13EE. Perfect fit on width, but a tad long. I am a little disappointed. I am going to keep them, but I will shop around for my next new hunting boot in a couple years. Maybe the LL Bean Kangaroo.

Boots squeak with every step. Both feet. Every step. They say they have a warranty but won’t honor it. Seems like a silly company policy but here we are.
