Even though these look small in the description photos, I had high hopes for them. Maybe the picture took 10 lbs off, unlike the television adding 10 lbs. Alas, my hopes were short lived, once they arrived and were, well, kind of assembled? These chairs are extremely under grown and won't stand up to the bar counter that they're placed in front of. The build is extremely flimsy and poorly crafted. They feel as though one hard move will make them crumble, like the last few moves of one of those block tower games (no product mentioning from me). You know the one. And for some reason, there was one screw hole, on each chair, that was not properly tapped, and the screws refused to seat. I tried everything. I built airplanes for a living, so I know how to properly seat a screw. I ended up with an even weaker stool than it already was. Once I stabilized my base and braved a sit, I was unimpressed. The base of the seat is small and will not accommodate a full-sized butt, comfortably. There needs to be more base and more padding. You feel like you're sitting on an unsafe fixture. You know, the one mom told you to get off of before you break something. I could not, in good conscious, recommend purchasing these, unless they are going to be used only as movie set props or maybe staging a home for sale, but if they are to be used for supporting actual people, I feel it would be better to just stand. It's much safer.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Bar Stools can be used in many places in our house, and this matched our decor. Weight: Very lightweight. Look: It is thin, designed for simplicity rather than quality. Build quality: It is to be expected when assembling a metal bar stool. It's not complicated in design, has simple assembly instructions, and the look matches the quality. The screws show in every inserted area, the screwed in feet need additional support when on wood floors to not damage the floors. Not complicated in design. Sturdiness: Very strong. It holds an adult easily. Functionality: The teenagers wanted a swivel chair. This does not swivel, so it's more difficult to maneuver under the snack bar when sitting, positioning yourself, and removing yourself from the stool. The seat is not padded much, so it's like sitting on wood with a foam pad....if you're not sitting for long periods (at a laptop etc), this works fine. Size: This fits nicely under our American 1980s-sized snack bar height, with plenty of space for legs and also high enough for children to eat cereal. It's priced right. Assembly is straightforward. Hint: don't tighten any screws, as the last step will require loosening a few to secure the footrest to the last leg (personal experience, not in the instructions). This was tested when assembling both, and it proved itself right, saving me time on the second bar stool assembly.
