This barstool is a very nice break for me. I have a lot of back pain, but I tried to cook during the week and when the back pain kicks in, I need to shift positions so I needed a barstool that had cushioning and a back wrist so I could relax a little bit while cooking. This is actually very comfortable and the feet are little wider so it has a stable base. This came in pieces in a box and I had to put it together, but I was surprised at how stable it actually felt once putting it together. This will be a welcome relief in the kitchen.

These island chairs are very comfortable. They are as high as the counter and can be reclined against the back of a chair. The footprint is a little wider than the chair, so it's more stable.
