Many people mention that the light arrives with the interior of the globes dirty/cloudy and that the opening is too small to get their hand inside to clean. My simple and easy solution to this was to pour some isopropyl alcohol into the globe and then swirl it around several times making sure to cover all of the interior glass surface completely. Do this over the sink while wearing a rubber glove on one hand and using it to seal the opening. Do this twice (using fresh alcohol) for each globe and then put them in your dish drainer with the opening at the bottom. The alcohol will quickly evaporate and leave the interior crystal clear and spotless. Once completely dry, you can mount the globes on the fixture and use a vinegar based glass cleaner and a microfiber cloth to clean the exterior of the globes. The other problem that is frequently mentioned is difficulty in finding a bulb that will fit through the opening in the globe. A "standard" 60 watt light bulb has an E26 base and a bulb size/shape of A19. This is the right size/type of base but the bulb will be too large. You need a bulb size of A15. This is the perfect size for this light that will place the bulb filaments exactly in the center of the globe. These are most commonly marketed as 40 watt or equivalent bulbs. If you buy LED bulbs, they will most likely be ~400 lumens each. If that is sufficiently bright for you, then all is good. If, like me, your light is on a dimmer switch and you would like to have the ability to go brighter than that, then you will need to search for a 60 watt or equivalent bulb. The LED versions will produce ~800 lumens each. These brighter A15 bulbs are much harder to find. The "orange" DIY store has high CRI versions of them with either yellow filaments (3000K) or white filaments (3500K), but you may have to special order them. ... show more

Nice looking , however the inside of the globes came streaky with some sort of residue and its very difficult to clean properly! The opening of each globe is very small and a normal adult hand cannot fit inside to clean it. The glass is very transparent and you can see every smudge.

We bought this light for our laundry/mud room bc we didn't want it to be just a utility room but rather a room that can be enjoyed and feels like the rest of the house. It did the trick but now we need to focus on rest of the room. Love the light! Definitely an awesome buy.

Gorgeous and simple light fixture. Note, bulbs can be tricky as the glass gloves only allow for traditional sized bulbs. I recommend the ones in my second photo.
