  • Pleasantly surprised with strength and overall quality of item. Great value for price.
Color: Black
I have two step-thru, fat tire e-bikes that total about 130 lbs so I was looking for something sturdy. I chose this unit as it looked to use very strong materials for the tire support and two stong bars instead of one, extending from the hitch connection. Additionally, the price on this unit was less than half other units I was considering. It also came with a hitch lock and a hitch stabilizer to eliminates rattle. Here are the Pros - fast shipping, well packaged, all the parts were there, decent instructions, good materials and fitment. Test trip with bikes showed minimal bounce and movement, no hitch rattle. Seemed very secure. Cons - really no complaints.. the product is better than I expected for the price. High marks for strength and quality. Suggestions and tips - This is a heavy unit, which is good, but also presents a challenge when loaded and trying to tilt down or up, very hard. Wish the foam hooks would rotate for better fitment with frame, but still work ok. Suggest you stop and adjust your straps and hooks after the first few miles of travel as things tend to settle in transit. would recommend, would buy again. ... show more

  • Rack is ok for the price
Color: Black
I purchased this for my Lectric bike and have only had one bike on the rack so far. Only complaint was the instructions, which were horrible. I tried YouTube and eventually messaged someone on Facebook who had the same rack. He sent me a video of the last part I could not figure out and that was helpful. ****Do not lose your keys!!! Seller was not helpful AT ALL and I ended up having a friend saw the lock off so I could remove the rack. Locksmiths are expensive to drill out the lock. ... show more

  • Arrived Defective - Instructions are Awful
Color: Black
The instructions are horrible. I have lots of Ikea type assembly experience and these instructions are very poor. After assembly, the pin that locks the bike in either the up or down position will not fit, the holes won't align to allow the pin to pass through. Its similar to a hitch pin so I might try to find one with a smaller diameter, but this is poorly designed. Then after installing the rack in my hitch receiver, the included lock is too short to lock after sliding the barrel through the receiver and bike rack. It is 1-2mm too short and the lock will not grab onto the barrel and engage. One of the reasons I purchased this was due to it coming as a complete package, it justified the higher price compared to similar racks. One last thing, if you go to the sellers Amazon page you will see that Amazon is hiding the negative reviews. Other buyers have had problems that Amazon is saying are not the sellers fault, when in fact it is. On a positive side, the rack is heavy and appears sturdy, just too bad that it is poorly engineered. Contacted seller for help, they just told me to return it, unhelpful support. One hour to assemble and another hour to disassemble and return. I feel like the seller/Amazon owes me some money. ... show more

  • Looks like a duplicate of another rack I have, which I bought on sale at 3 times the price!
Color: Black
I can't tell the difference between this rack and another I have elsewhere that I bought for three times as much (and that one was on sale). They are exactly the same as far as I can tell. So this, at 1/3rd the cost, definitely has value. It was received with a manufacturing defect on one piece (see pic). Hardly even visible, I didn't realize the piece was slightly bent until I tried to mount it and it jammed in the clamp. It boggles the mind that Amazon can make money shipping an entire replacement 3000 miles rather than just the defective piece... but beg as I might (and have on multiple occasions), they will only replace everything. So wasteful. I assembled it anyway, and will replace just the defective piece and return everything else once received. IDK if you can replace the screw-in bolt style hitch attachment with a locking post style (like https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0009V1WS4 ). That item comes with two posts, the smaller of which is needed to get past the threads for the bolt hitch. I've posted the question without response from the manufacturer. So, I'm using the bolt while in motion, and the locking post once parked (it's time consuming to swap, but, don't want to re-engineer without knowing). This question is answered by the manufacturer saying to click the link for the approved lock: clicking that link only gives manufacturer information with no contact nor products... so no lock to find. I saw all the complaints about the instructions, so started with the video (no need to search YouTube, look at the videos/pics at the top, one is the assembly video), which goes too quickly but it's pretty simple to figure out. You still need the instructions to inventory all the pieces. The video says "remove the screws on part G": there are three, and you only need to remove the one they show being removed. Orientation is also not easily discerned in the video, specifically, I screwed up: "install the adjustable tire bracket on the other end" (part J in the instructions)... the clasp could go inside (toward the other bike) or outside (away from the rack). I believe inside is correct. As many others have said (and the installation video shows): use real tools rather than the provided ones. My e-mountain-bikes are 60lbs each (with battery, which I remove while on the racks). Add 10lbs of security chain (which I tie to the tire, so if the hitch breaks, then I should drag everything along), and you come in under the 160lb capacity of the rack. Add the 130lbs of the rack, and I'm under the 360lbs tongue weight maximum for my hitch. Aside, I had an argument with ChatGPT concerning tongue weight, as I'd guess the max weight would decrease as you extended that weight beyond the hitch ("give me a big enough lever and I'll move the world"). While ChatGPT agreed that the max should be measured in torque, would not revise the maximums given the dimensions. Would be nice to know if torque matters more than simple weight when determining the maximum you can suspend from the hitch. Note that the instructions include an email address for the manufacturer: so far, they indicate no way to get parts. ... show more

  • OK
Color: Black
The instructions to assemble this are terrible. Just pictures that you have to decipher. Everything is spray painted black even the threads of the bolts, so its hard to assemble. The locks that go down over the front tires shows it should be close to the forks , but if you have a front fender this is impossible. So I'll see how it goes. The other issue is the pin to attach to the hitch is a threaded pin. Wire brush the black paint off the threads or you'll never get it in. Also you can not put a locking pin through this to lock to your vehicles hitch. So someone with a wrench can just unscrew the pin and steal the rack. So I'm not leaving this on my vehicle when not using, it will be stolen. Have a 5 hour trip coming up where Ill be brining 2 e-bikes on it. I'm worried about the front locks only being on the tires and not close to the forks. I probably should return this, but it would be a huge problem disassembling this thing and getting it back in the box, It's heavy. ... show more
