Only had it for a couple days but so far, very nice. Ordered with a little trepidation, the reviews seemed almost too good to be true :). But they’re right - completely silent, heats up quickly in my 200 sq ft bedroom (10 ft high ceilings), and even looks pretty decent. The controls work well and there’s a good amount of options - little touch panel, or remote control, or the ‘smart life’ app (which although works fine, i’m not a big fan of - on the ipad, it forces the screen to be in landscape mode only, plus i have concerns about the app’s privacy and data collection). But not a huge deal, i mostly just set the temp on it in ‘eco’ mode, and let it do its thing, not much else i need to mess with. I’m upgrading from an old mica panel delonghi heater, which always had an annoying high pitched sound. So i really like that this is completely silent, perfect for the bedroom. The bugs bunny feet makes it hard to tip over, but the panel itself does get hot hot when in use, as expected. I think i read a review that said the plug get can get hot, but so far haven’t had that issue. Love the digital temperature setting, and when compared to my room thermometer, it’s quite accurate. My other concern was how this will hit my electric bill - while i don’t know yet, I’m hoping that eco mode helps make this cheaper to run than my old heater. Time will tell how well it’s built, but so far seems pretty solid. Almost bought one of those oil filled portable radiators, but glad i didnt, as they are reputed to make crackling or popping noises when the oil expands or cools their casings. Thought this was on the more expensive side of heaters (even at the sale price of $150), but sometimes you get what ya pay for - if it lasts for a few years and keeps me from freezing, then it’ll be money well spent. Considering getting another one for my living room, but i’ll wait to see my electric bill first 😁

I ended up buying two of these because I love them so much. They're quiet. They don't take up much space and heat up my bedroom and my bathroom during the winter. I like the app that you can use and you can connect them to Alexa to turn on and off by voice commands. You can also set them on a timer.

The media could not be loaded. I bought this product on November 25th, 2024 and used it throughout the winter. It worked great. Although, in the spring, I unplugged it during the spring/summer time. Now, today September 30th, I plug the heater in and attempted to turn it on. The heater does not come on, it just beeps and displays a temp within a second and nothing. So, I attempted to locate a customer support telephone number to solve the issue......does not exist. You have to fill out a form, upload a video or pic and they state they will get back to you. See below for yourself what it does. I am only posting this because if you decide to buy this product, you may be dealing with this. Good luck!

This is the second heater I purchased from Ballu. The first one was mica infrared space heater and that one exceeded my expectations. I purchased that first one for a big bedroom that we could not heat up with anything else. But once I saw how that one worked - I decided to buy another one for our second small bedroom. Problem with that was that the bedroom is really small - 9x11ft, so the mica infrared cannot work, because it radiates so much heat, that it feels too hot inside and there is no space for it on the floor. This is when I made a decision to purchase this one. It's a convection type and the heat just goes up from it. It works great. I love it. The temperature adjustment is perfect. You can turn the display off for the night, and it is super quiet. I don't hear it during nigh, no clicking, no buzzing. It is fantastic. But there is one downside. It heats up a lot. The back is almost as hot as the front. Don't think about installing it on the wall until you figure out how to insulate the wall from the heat. If your wall is concrete, then it's fine I guess, but not in a wooden home or on a cardboard wall. I measured the temperature in the back and it is 165°F. Make your own conclusion. Other than that I recommend it. Good purchase.

I bought this heater because I was looking to replace one that didn't have a functional thermostat that would turn the heat off once it reached a specific temperature. I liked this heater (heats up quickly; keeps the room warm; good thermostat feature that seems to work accurately; very lightweight, so you can move it from one room to another very easily) aside from how absolutely dry it made the air in my bedroom, and that it increased my utility bill. I have 2 tower heaters that blow air, and I didn't expect nonrestrictive usage of those heaters, regularly throughout the day, to cost less than this heater only running at night (it's just a coincidence that the weather was warmer once I received this heater, so I didn't need it during the day but only at night when it's colder). I was able to see that my energy usage across 2 weeks prior to using this heater was consistently lower, with a considerable spike in energy usage on the days this heater was used (after I started to feel sick, I stopped using it, energy usage decreased again). Additionally, I use a humidifier every night and even with my usual usage maintained, using this heater made the air in my bedroom so dry that it dried out my mucus membranes and made me feel sick (full on upper respiratory cold symptoms) after 3 days of usage only, at night. It could be that how dry this heater makes the air is just not good for me personally. So if you seem to have a sensitive upper respiratory system, just keep this in mind. Lastly, the faceplate for the controls came off after the first night of usage. I found it lifted the next morning. If I had decided to keep it, I would have tried to glue it down.
