I had I-robot for several years. I have two long haired cats. Any brushes got tangled always. This just has suction to the dust bin and no brushes. So that is so much better for my situation. The app was challenging to setup and the programming is small pictures. The default setting was for 4am. So when I finally did get it setup but not programmed, I was awoken at 4am. Amazon's Echo can interface with the vaccum's app. I have it setup so I can tell Alexa to "Clean Up" and it will start the vacuum up. I generally tell it to clean when I leave for work in the morning. However, if I'm home and need to stop the vacuum because of a phone call, or guests, or because it's cleaned the spot I felt needed cleaned, or whatever, if I tell Alexa to stop cleaning, the robot vacuum stops in place. I see no option to give a command to return to the dock. It just sits there in the middle of the room. I can go into the app that is from the company of the robo vacuum and tell it to return to the dock from there, and so that's what I end up doing. It's a small annoyance, since most of the time I just tell it to clean when I leave the house and come home to a freshly vacuumed home (most of it anyway, where the thing can get to). The battery life also seems a bit so/so. Starting on a full charge it can do about one room (it starts in my bedroom) before it needs to return to the dock to recharge. It creeps along very slowly, trying to find the dock, and seems to have no 'memory' of where the dock is. So, when testing it out the first few days (watching it to make sure it didn't do anything too crazy, etc.) I noticed it would take it a very long time to relocate the charging dock and start charging, and when coming from another room I worry sometimes that it won't make it to the dock. In fact, one time early on I came home to find it completely out of juice sitting in the middle of my room. It only did that the one time, but the fact it did means it could again. It draws a map in the app as it vaccums, so I don't know why it can't use that map as a way to start finding its way back to the charging dock. At least, it should head in the correct dirction, instead of heading to opposite one, when searching for the charging dock. - I also wonder if when it moves things (like my trash can) if it's confusing it as to it's location. Overall though it I do feel it is a good value. It gets the job done (most of the time), it does seems to have great suction (three levels, quite, medium, and super-powerful). Oh, I also had hoped for a bit more on it's mopping feature. It's mop is just a cloth that it drags behind it. It doesn't squirt that I can see, it doesn't have a place to put any cleaning solution for a mop. It just drags a cloth under it's rump across the floor. I'm ok with it, but originally was expecting a bit more when it came to 'mopping.' ... show more

I looked at this and at the time someone had a review that the ‘map’ function worked well. Let me tell you, it does not. The only thing the ‘map’ function does on this vacuum is show you where the vacuum has been, you are not able to tell it where to go and which room to clean or anything of the sort. I used the chat on the Bagotte page to find this out. I suppose because of the way my house is designed this vacuum does not do a horizontal pattern so misses many areas and gets stuck doing certain areas over and over, again. So I have to pick the vacuum up and move it from area to area and use the ‘spiral’ function in the app in order for it to clean a whole room. The remote does not work, at all. As far as the actual cleaning, it does do well, so if you want to baby-sit the vacuum, you might consider it. However, I am disabled and lifting the vacuum from place to place, using a walker, make it very difficult for me. Cleaning the dust bin and filters are easy. All you have to do it lift the top of the vacuum and lift out the dust bin to shake it in the trash can. The manual does have how often items on the vacuum need to be cleaned and how often items need to be replaced. So to sum it up, really doesn’t have a good map function and you will not be able to tell it to clean a certain room. If your rooms aren’t perfectly square, it will not clean in a horizontal line pattern. You will have to watch it and move it from place to place, if your rooms aren’t perfectly square in order for it to clean a whole room. It does clean well; the care of it is easy. ... show more
