I read many of the reviews on multiple play sets before purchasing this one. Overall, this play set appears to be good quality and durable. Obviously, I have only had it for a short time, so I am only giving it four stars. The set came in three different boxes. It is definitely easier to put together if you open up all of the boxes and lay out the pieces in the yard. The cedar wood smells and looks amazing. It does seem flimsy when putting it together because it is such a light wood. You do have to be careful not to over tighten or be too forceful, as it will cause the wood to crack. Once it was all together though, it is quite sturdy. The instructions were overall easy to understand. Some of the diagrams in the manual could have been better though. It took some time to figure out the exact way some parts were meant to go because of the instructions. The biggest problem we had, and other reviews mention this, is the fact the parts and boards are very poorly labeled. The labels are not stickers like most products. Instead, they boards and parts are labeled by stencil. So part number “B5” has B5 noted on it in ink. This is great because it will come off once the play set is set up. Basically, it would quickly wash off during rain and fade in sunlight. It is not great for when you are trying to build the play set. Just with in the time it took the play set to get shipped to me, plus sitting in the boxes for three days at my home, the markings were worn off on at least half of the parts and pieces. This caused the build to take a lot longer than expected. In the end, decent play set for the money. With the few problems I mentioned, it took three of us about 10 hours (to include breaks) to completely put together. ... show more

We really like the play set but there are small issues. I will say all the parts were labeled and the instructions were super easy to follow took about 6-7hours(I will say my husband didn’t start with what the instructions first said to do he instead built the actual play house part first rather then the swing set and slide part) When we first started building the wood was not straight and even on all sides it was really wobbly and we moved it around the yard even on a leveled concrete slab and still was supper wobbly and not secure but once all built it was was definitely secure and safe for our kids will say we added dirt to sides to make sure it was even on all sides. Now the wood isn’t 100% the best when it’s not all put together but once built it what you would expect it to be. Some pieces I will be contacting the company’s to replace since they where cracked all the way thru even with my husband being very careful and slow plus using the pre drilled holes still caused it to crack a couple of times before we realized we would need to drill the holes with a wood drill bit first to make it true to the size of hole needed for the screws. After that it was success supper easy to build the actual play set. We will be looking into adding a better slide as this one a thin plastic and would rather have a hard plastic all the way thru for the kids. I do recommend this swing set for sure just be slow take the time to sort thru the wood piece and bolts first take them out all the piece you need in order from each page with the correct screw and bolts so it makes it a fast and easy experience! Also learn from our mistake and just use a wood drill bit to fix their pre cut holes so the wood doesn’t crack from there screws. My kids have been having fun since we built it waking up early just to play all day on it and the best part we finally don’t have to leave to go to the park everyday like we use to! ... show more

We got this for our grandkids as a special surprise. Wood is very thin and cracks/splits easily. Definitely not worth the price we paid. When putting up the roof we were afraid our foot would go through the structure. Slide is flimsy plastic that you have to try to fit in between two other molded pieces. Directions were not clear. Took 8 hrs to put up!! Looks cute once up but not sure it'll last more than a few years. ... show more

This was a bad idea for our family. The wood is cheap, fractures easily and splinters immediately. It is quite rickety, but doesn’t seem like it’s gonna fall apart, exactly. It’s just a little jarring to hear creeks and cracks constantly. Wood panels fall out of place in multiple spots and exposed hardware would make it easy for a child to hurt themselves before a grown up could see it was problematic. The swings don’t have enough space on the inside swing to have much margin of error in term of hitting the jungle gym wall. So swinging off balance a little could be a bad thing. The company did send extra hardware that wasn’t included in a very timely manner, but other than their customer service this thing is a disappointment to me. My kids are having fun on it but all I see is a splintering, future mess that at any moment will be impaling my kids. If I had the chance again, I’d ask a contractor to build this from scratch and save some money, use better wood and not have all of this worry. ... show more

The biggest problem we have is with the slide. It comes in several different pieces and because it’s wavy, the bottom of the slide doesn’t stay in the track. We’re going to have to figure something out or it is going to be a hazard for the kids possibly cutting them. Additionally, the directions were not detailed enough and there were many extra drilled holes in some of the pieces of wood. Some of the pieces wouldn’t line up correctly. ... show more
