  • Great kids play set.
It looked very intimidating once you open it and see all the parts but In all honesty it wasn’t so bad. Took 2 days to assemble with 3 people. Kids love it, looks beautiful and seems sturdy

  • Overall pretty good, that slide tho...
My only real complaint is the slide, it's not super sturdy. Instructions say it has a certain safety rating, the design is clever/compact, but the execution requires far tighter tolerances in the parts that are used. Some poles are too short to properly seat in their respective slots AND to catch the screws on both ends. I had to disassemble and reassemble it a couple of times until, I think, I reached it's intended sturdiness. If M/s is reading this: equal length poles, pre-drilled _ bolts/nuts instead of screws. The side rails would need a new mould unless you find another clever way to pocket the bolts and nuts. But this way you know you have it 100% secure before putting on the tower (and sliding down it to watch poles come lose left and right). The rest of the playset is top notch and while there were some cracked boards and chips, I found it to be an acceptable amount considering the building material. Many of the boards do have to go on in a very specific way and the manual doesn't have the highest resolution to properly show you if you're about to put to on upside down or not. Looking ahead a couple of steps can usually help clarify. I'd also like to add that I was able to easily swap positions of the slide and climbing wall with a very simple modification to steps 43/44 and 47. I had to dodge a tree, so for those looking for a playset with a specific orientation, it can be made to be "long and skinny" instead of L-shaped. My advice for others, running through the instructions as a write: If you have a helper, 1 person build, the other fetch boards and hardware for the next step. You'd think 2 drills will get'r done twice as fast, but you spend most of your time hunting and planning, not screwing. Only a few steps are genuinely easier with an extra set of hands (like putting together that janky slide). That said, I did it myself, working a few hours a day. Totally doable solo. Slide Assembly Step 4) Those screws have to go in at a slight angle-in toward the slide surface. Not too much or you will penetrate the slide-slide. Your natural instinct here would be to jam those poles into 1 side, secure them good and tight, the do the other side. This would be wrong; put the poles in just enough to catch the screw and try to leave yourself as much overhang for the other side. If you jam them in too far on the 1st side, then the screws won't catch the poles on the 2nd side when you drive them in. Tower Assembly Step 8) After completing this step, pause construction to place it exactly where you want it and get it good and level. At this point, it's rigid enough you can move it without worrying too much about damaging it and light enough that you can move it easily. I was able to flip it on its side repeatedly while digging and leveling the yard. It only gets heavier from this point forward. Then I recommend skipping to Step 45 to put the swing set beam on. Because if you have to move it after step 45, then you have a heavy-assed tower to move and re-digout. Put the beam on, commit to the placement of the playset, and then back to step 9. Step 11) These floorboards don't butt up nice and tight like they do in step 12 (no N1 for this step). To get an aesthetically pleasing even spacing you have to put the extreme ends on first, then measure and place the middle board, then it's way easier to eye-ball the spacing from there. I made myself a couple of shims to prevent the boards from shifting while screwing them down, it was very helpful. Step 43) The ladder - everyone is cracking the ladder rails where they meet the tower. I did too, and I know why: they are trying to pass a 5/16 SCREW through a 1" thick board. Less than 50% of the board will remain even if you pre-drill it. Which, BTW, don't pre-drill with 3/16, pre-drill with 1/4 if you want to go this route. I upgraded and bought some heavy duty L brackets, which should have been the correct choice in the design (or use boards thicker than 1" if you're going to pass a lag screw through it). Overall, lumber was good quality, hardware was good - some of my labels came off the bags so look out for that. Don't get discouraged that the 1st few steps take so long; things progress much faster once you start putting the tower together. ... show more

  • Great set. $1,000 cheaper then local dealer and bigger!!
Me and my father built this set in about 12 hours. So 1 1/2 days 2 men. All the hardware and wood is good quality and the set looks great. Instructions are well done. Pay attention to hole alignments and you will not have an issue. Only 2 or 3 boards split a touch. No issue. Kid loves it.

  • Horrible Engineering
I bought this for my four sons and only half of them are able to play on this thing without it breaking. The 4x4 that supports the swings is screwed to the side of the main body of the playset using a 1x6 for support! My 100lb kid can't swing on this things without it moving bowing and creeking so bad that it will break. The slide is super weak and will not support the weight of a 5 year old without bending joints. The assembly was challenging to say the least. I build Submarines for a living and those drawings are better. I only gave this thing stars because it's great for 4 years and younger. If it said that age group on it I would say it would warrant a 4 star. ... show more

  • The kids love it
Great play set! I put it together in about 2 weekends. Easy to follow instructions, just pay attention to the predrilled holes and which direction they need to go. Lots of tedious steps. Looks good! The kids love it.

  • Never again
Pieces came in chipped. It’s been over a year now and many pieces are falling apart and breaking.

  • Great swingset
The kids love it. The only 2 things I’d change are adding more space between swings and making the slide less bumpy (the support rod under the slide popped out few times when a bigger kid went down. But overall it’s a great set for the value. The guy assembling it said that more parts used to come pre-assembled (like the platforms) but now the manufacturer assembles less parts since they are incurring shipping expenses (ships at no cost). Not sure how true that is but took him about 16 hours with a helper. ... show more

  • Missing pieces. Time consuming.
Boxes came on a pallet, banded together and all boxes were taped closed. Upon assembly I've found several pieces missing, so much so that I've had to call backyard discovery on 3 occasions to let them know. Several brackets, shackles, and one of the roof panels are missing so far. Its comical because at the end of each conversation they ask "is that all" as if this is common, so I asked if it was, and was told it was not. Its irritating that a set, that takes ample amount of time to assemble is missing so many pieces. Especially for the price. ... show more
