  • It fits our deck and it blocks the sun
Size: 10' x 6' Style: Modern Pattern Name: Tan Cover
We purchased this because it would fit on our deck not much else will it's the odd size of our Deck. It was relatively easy to put together all I really needed was a 7/16 ratchet wrench. Put the top frame together first. You can choose to stretch the canopy across the top frame, then attach the upper leg to the top frame. Lastly we carried it to the deck lifted it and put the last 4 legs on (with feet attached). It's just the right height and we have secured it with sandbags ( the type used on ez up canopies). It definitely makes our deck cooler. If you have a space that is this size, there aren't many other options. The top I am sure should not be that difficult to replace. All in all we are very pleased with how it fit on our deck for our particular space, if you have the space, this works. ... show more

  • Excellent canopy!
Size: 10' x 6' Style: Modern Pattern Name: Tan Cover
We ordered this canopy to fit an area that we wanted to have shade on and it fit perfect for our needs. It is a little tedious to put together, but if you pay attention to the drawings, you shouldn’t have any difficulty. When we were putting on the canopy top, the last bungee that i put through the grommet caused the grommet to pop out of the top. It was a faulty grommet. I immediately called and was greeted with excellent customer service and was asked to send a couple of pics which i did. I received an immediate email response and notice that a new too was being sent out. I received the new top in just a few days. Over all, this is an excellent shade canopy and the customer service was exceptional! I highly recommend this product and company! ... show more

  • Rain...
Size: 10' x 6' Style: Modern Pattern Name: Tan Cover
I live in Florida and we get heavy rains. The canopy cloth top ended up tearing away, in stringy thegths, from the sides nearest grommets. The rain was captured in a belly fashion of the underside of the top. Otherwise this system was as expected in terms of cost and use.

  • Great shade and easy to put together
Size: 10' x 6' Style: Modern Pattern Name: Tan Cover
Wow! We were hoping for something that would give us some shade from the hot Texas sun, that would fit in the space between our RV and the neighbor, and would be sturdy enough to withstand the crazy wind around here. Well, we got all boxes checked. The posts are a lot thicker and more substantial than we had thought from the pics given, it was easy to put together ( it took my husband and I about 45 minutes or so in the heat to put together), the “tarp” cover is great and was easy to install and also will be easy to remove when crazy weather comes our way, and it seems the whole unit is hefty enough to stay in place with higher winds. So far, it is giving great needed shade and now we can enjoy a little more of the outdoors reading or barbecuing and not totally roast. It even came with 4 stakes to help ground it. We are considering getting a few more if our RV awning ever gives us trouble. We can’t wait to string some patio lights (can’t string on awning for always rolling it in) and really enjoy this patio cover days and nights. As for holding up in the weather, it’s too soon to tell. We have only had it for 2 days, but I have high hopes. We will update. ... show more

  • Poor material and flaws in the design – I will return it.
Size: 10' x 6' Style: Modern Pattern Name: Tan Cover
I was very excited about this canopy since it has perfect size for my deck – but I got disappointed after assembly. Firstly, some pipes arrived scratched and bent due to poor packaging. I was able to bend them in the right direction, but I'm shocked at how easy they are to bend. They look very thick and seem durable, but in fact they are made of very soft metal; they even sag under their own weight. The manual warns that this tent will not withstand snowy or windy weather, and this is true; the frame is too soft for those conditions. Also, I don’t like that there are flaws in the design: the legs are not welded straight, they are sticking out a little in different directions; and the fabric is too small, about 1-2 inches shorter around the edges. I mean, it’s maybe okay in some conditions, but for that price… c-mon. And lastly, I was hoping that this roof would protect my deck from the rain. I have a grill there and it bothers me that I constantly have to cover it. But unfortunately, this roof does not protect from rain at all. Firstly, these holes at the edges allow rain to pass through and it flows down the roof and drips onto the deck. Secondly, the rain never falls straight – it usually falls at an angle therefore the deck ends up constantly wet (the only dry spot is about 1x3 feet in the center). Also, the tarp is not waterproof. I live in WA state; we have a lot of rains – usually they are very light here but for long period of time. So, the tarp loses its waterproof function after about 3 hours of rain. Therefore, if you need protection from a rain, then keep scrolling. ... show more

  • Recommended for townhouses!
Size: 10' x 6' Style: Modern Pattern Name: Tan Cover
Townhouse associations often have strict rules about the exterior of the home, so I needed something semi-permanent that would not attach to my siding and would not extend out into the grass. My patio is a 6'x8' concrete slab on the south side of my home, so it gets hot. This shade apparatus was perfect. The angle of the legs is a little inconsistent and the constructed frame has some torsion, so that it didn't sit perfectly square on my surface. So, we added cushioning around the frame closest to the house and staggered the height of the 4"x4" wood footings to tilt it even further away from the house. Each footing goes about 1' deep and we used lag bolts to secure the frame to the wood. It is my opinion that the 4 stakes included would not have been very effective anchors. I have had this up for a few weeks now and have received many compliments from my neighbors! It has endured some high wind, rain, and even a little pea-sized hail. So far it has held up well and does not wobble around in the wind. I imagine that the tarp will become less resilient as the sun continues to beat down on it. The manufacturer recommends removing the tarp for high wind and heavy rain, but I plan to remove the tarp only for the MN winter (it is not snow rated). If it is destroyed between now and then, I think it could be easily replaced either with something from the manufacturer or with custom-cut sailboat sail material. ... show more
