I love Echo products. My previous blower experienced a problem with the spark plug connector after 20 years. So, I decided to get a new one. I was disappointed that I could not order it directly from Echo or my local Home Depot. I was very pleased to find it listed on Amazon. It arrived quickly and was packaged securely for shipping. It took just a few minutes to install and I was up and running. It works great and is quite powerful. I like the backpack feature, which makes it easy to carry. It's not exactly light, but also not so heavy that it becomes burdensome to use. The throttle is connected to the tub (once you install it) and makes it easy to operate. This is a quality Echo product at a consumer level. They are easy to maintain and I expect this to last just as long as my previous Echo blower. In today's throw away society, Echo products are built to last.

i bot a second of these just bcz of gavin outlawing it and it turned out after the law went into effect in calif that i was still able to purchase on line. in the evolution of man, first there was the bronze age, then the iron age, and then the blower age. the blower is simply the single most advanced tool of mankind and i dont know where we would be without it. it separates materials, its portable, its energetic. it can dry the car after washing. it can clean the garage floor 12948719359783 times faster than a broom, it can dry the dog after hes gone in the lake, it can windrow almonds from the trees, it can precipitate the leaf drop of trees in autumn by pointing it upward. it can accelerate paint drying. it can clean rain gutters. it can flush sewer pipes. it can make my girlfriends hair look so sexy for a photo op. think i will buy another right now...brb

Great blower with strong power not available in other brands for the price. I had an old hand held Echo which I recently sold, after 20 minutes it became heavy to use and took too much time to clean my property due to limited power. This Echo backpack is a beast and does the job in less than half the time. It is a little heavier than expected but comfortable enough to wear for a couple of hours. Very pleased with the purchase and love the 5-year gtee for non commercial use. Only complaint is that Echo could have done a better job on the instruction manual for assembly as it contained several different models with different features. Assembly was easy once you picked through the badly laid out manual. Highly recommend and love using this blower.

First off, this Echo PB580 H/T is a great leaf blower. Assembly was straight forward though the instructions could be a bit better (after getting the tubing half-assembled you learn you need to pass a static cable through... so you need to disassemble everything). Once fueled and following the Echo starting instructions, by the third (short) pull it was running perfectly. I've since put about 2 1/ 2 hours on it. The only issue I have with it is a leaky gas cap on the leaf blower. I checked and the cap does have its rubber gasket, nevertheless, when I'm operating the leaf blower the fuel is sloshing in the tank and then coming through the leaky cap. I've tightened as tight as it will go but it makes no difference. Apart from the leaky cap, it is a very good machine and I'm happy I purchased it. It is powerful, easily started and very easy to use. Will it lift and blow wet caked-up leaves? Absolutely. I was able to do my yard and driveway in a fraction of the time it takes me with my Husquvarna gas powered hand-held leaf blower.

Really like this blower - replaced my old hand held Husqvarna unit that had become difficult to start. The Echo starts on 2-3 pulls. Has plenty of power and isn't real load. It is a bit cumbersome to get on my back but once I get it mounted it is reasonably comfortable.

I have a large yard and lots of trees and the leaf blower made it possible to remove the leaves where I had been mostly just chopping them up with my mower. I planted 25 oak trees 20 years ago so I was getting more and more leaves until something had to give. I am glad I got the backpack style so most of the workout is to the legs. It also worked well on the Sweetgum seed that are about impossible to rake.
