    • Tight fit to shaft and seems well made. Needs one improvement.

Lighter weight than expected but worked very well overall. A big improvement might be a small vertical blade at the outer edge of the auger tip to cut roots. A one half inch root is enough to cause a problem and the horizontal bit end just moves it up or down and binds. A sharp vertical blade an inch or two high on the tip would likely cut off smaller roots and make the tool less likely to twist or meet resistance so easily. I may have one added by a welder. Overall, it did most 26 inch deep holes in a minute and I have dug 7500 holes in my sign career and wish I had bought this years ago. Overall recommended tool. ... show more

    • Does NOT fit Harbor Freight Auger

These auger bits DO NOT FIT—I REPEAT DO NOT FIT—the gas-powered Harbor Freight earth auger. This is a 3/4 diameter bit, and the Harbor Freight takes a 7/8". These bits are also very lightweight and do not feel as strong/sturdy/beefy as the harbor freight auger bits.
