Oh it's so nice not to roll up the hose by hand!! installation was easy, we put it on a 6x6 post concreted in the ground, since you have to pull it out ( it's a little hard to pull but not too bad) I wanted to make sure the post wouldn't loosen over time, the nozzle that comes with it feels a little on the cheap side but I'll use it until it breaks, when you pull it to get it to retract it goes fast so make sure you have a good grip and walk with it, also love the 180° swivel, gets to my flower beds easily, no water leaks anywhere, works as it should, has good water pressure and 100 foot is plenty for my needs, so far so good!!

Terrible product , very little use and stopped working after a 1 1/2 years ,tried extending all the way and adjusting spring with no luck a lot of money for something that will not last .

I really love mine. Easy to install and works perfect. No leaks built tough. I like that it retraces. Now this is a update. I have had retractable hose since Oct. 2025 and now this is Feb. 2026 now it is starting to give problems. It will not retract all the way now. I do not why, but I am ready to junk it.

I purchased three Ayleid wall-mounted retractable hoses for our new home in the 100' length with 5/8" hose because they were an exceptional value. Having had similar hoses in 1/2" diameter at our previous home, I can tell you that 5/8" delivers about twice the volume of water. Just recently, about 14 months into the life of the hose, I heard a loud noise within the housing while retracting the hose to nearly full length. I immediately new the rewinding spring had gone. I looked up the Alyeid web site to see if this issue was mentioned but it was not. But there was contact information so I sent a message inquiring about whether my hose was repairable and, if so, to please send instructions. That same day I heard back from John, who asked for a short video of the hose reel in question. I sent that the next day and again heard right back from John who said they were sending me a brand new hose unit! He asked to confirm shipping details and upon receipt of that information said my new hose reel had shipped and would arrive in about 5 days. It arrived in 2 days!! This whole customer service experience was so far off the charts to a level I didn't think existed anymore. Kudos to you John and your company for standing behind your product. I bought the 100ft version of this hose reel, and while the hose itself is excellent quality, the retraction mechanism was a big disappointment. The mechanism that pulls the hose back in stopped working fairly early on. Also, the plastic guide that helps feed the hose evenly into the reel broke not long after I started using it, which caused the hose to get stuck often when retracting. Eventually, I had to take the entire thing apart just to salvage the hose, which was frustrating. I suspect that having the 100ft length may have added extra strain, making things worse. Overall, the hose itself is very good, but the reel design just isn’t durable. If you’re looking for a retractable system, I wouldn’t recommend this one—at least not for the longer length.
