I ordered 3 toppers according to the charts and they fit perfectly. Very easy to install and look great. The instructions were very clear and helpful. My son in law and myself installed the toppers on my fifth wheel in about 3 hours. After about 6 months the pocket in one of the pieces of fabric came partially apart. I contacted customer support and they got right back to me and are replacing the topper with no questions. I would highly recommend Awnlux RV slide toppers looks, quality and especially customer support.

I ordered too wide for my 12’ slide. I cut 5 inchess off the middle section of the roller tube, upper rail and material width. Pay attention to slide width before ordering. The topper directions were clear and assembly went smoothly. I recommend pre drilling all holes otherwise screwing could become laborious since the screws tend to snap if holes are not pre drilled. Don’t over tighten, snug with screw gun and hand tighten. It was easier to thread the material and cord in the rails and apply the butyl tape on the rails while still on the ground. Then flip the roller tube onto the RV roof and let the material hang down a bit with the under side of the material facing you. Since your RV is not on as level a plane as the floor where it was manufactured, a level is probably not that helpful. Use a wooden board the same width as the height in which you want to mount the rails using the upper flange of the slide as a guide. The board should be approximately the length of the individual pieces making up the rail. Now the rails can be screwed in. Move the roller tube off the RV roof. With the fabric attached to the trailer, reroll the material tightly moving up the ladder. Affix the roller tube. It takes two people. This seems to be easier than threading the cord while on a ladder. I just finished assembly. It works fine. Seems real solid and tension on fabric seems good. I’ll let you know next year. It took some time, my first one and I get a little tired after a few hours (75 years old). Give yourself time, work methodically paying attention to directions.

Overall, it was a pretty easy installation. Although, I would say that two people aren't quite enough, at least in my experience. Some of the self tapping screws broke off even with pilot holes drilled, but we still managed to get it installed. I haven't had a travel day yet, to ensure it doesn't cause any issues when moving, but it is on and installed and it only took a couple of hours with the help of some friends.

I installed all by myself, took about 1 hour. That was drinking a beer and taking my time! works perfect. When installing, dont put the tube in the fabric ON THE CAMPER side until your done, put the fabric in the groove THEN slide in the long plastic tube in the sleeve, easy peasy. I showed the camping world mechanics how to do this and they were blown away. Makes install a 1 man job and ZERO chances of it tearing the fabric.

ordered one , came a few days late ? ordered second one and it came a week earlier then expected , delivery did not ring door bell !!! i was inside house when i came out they leftba note just saying they would retry ? i waited around all day waiting !!! got a message it was coming next day ! waited around all day again !!!! got a message it was to be delivered the third day , it showed up !!! fed ex sucked on this one !!!! awning arived in good shape , went together easy since id already done one ! easy to install , instructions could be a bit better !!!

I purchased the 13'6" model. Installed by myself but would recommend 2 people install. You need to buy a roll of high quality double-sided tape for the brackets and rail. So far it functions properly and has kept water out of my slide seals, which was a problem during high wind rainy conditions. Two issues I have with this awning: 1. When it's windy the awning flaps up and down and slaps the roof of the slideout. This is rather noisy and wakes me up at night. I'm not sure if this is typical of most slideout awnings but this one doesn't seem very taught. 2. The metal roll is bending at the center. The roller has sagged downward and inward toward the camper. This may be the reason why the fabric is loose enough to slap around in the middle. I would not recommend this awning at this length, although it might be more sturdy in shorter lengths. *********************** Updated review. Downgrading to 1 star. Seller provided very quick response to my review and offered 2 suggestions to fix the sagging. 1. Rotate the bracket arms down a little bit in order to increase the slope of the fabric. This should help with water runoff. 2. Tighten the fabric by rotating the roller to increase tension. I did both of these things and it still sags. Water pools up and I'm just waiting for it to rip and cause a disaster. My fix: jam a $3 beach ball under it to prevent water from pooling up. Sadly I have to climb up and remove the ball whenever I retract the slide. What else can I do since I've already drilled holes in my camper and applied almost-permanent adhesive tape? Very disappointed. Definitely would not recommend this awning cover.
