Very happy with the head unit. This brought my 2009 Silverado 1500 to the modern era. This is an excellent upgrade for the money. The fit and finish in my opinion looks great.

I installed this stereo in my 2008 Chevy Silverado and so far I am very happy with it. Installation was incredibly simple, much easier than the old single din stereos used to be in the old days. The wiring harness was all plug and play, after removing the plastic flashing and removing the stock stereo this stereo bolted into its place, having the same dimensions and making things super easy. The hardest part, which was still not bad, was running the reverse camera wires to the back of the truck, which just required feeding the wires around the frame and truck components and securing them to keep them away from the exhaust and driveline. Tapping into the tail light wiring harness to trigger the reverse camera was easy as well. For such a little amount of work a massive upgrade to the trucks interior can be had. The stereos screen, while on the small side has a good quality picture. In addition, the bluetooth connects to my phone very quickly with a solid connection, making AndroidPlay a breeze to use. The gps module really should have come with a much longer wire so you could mount the unit to the roof, but as it is I was barely able to mount the receiver outside the trucks cab, much less have any real options on where to place it. The sound quality is ok, though I am running the bass through an amp and sub, which certainly helps. There is an eq that can be adjusted, but I still was only able to get things to an acceptable level. Still, better than stock was though.

Android head units have improved dramatically over the past few years, and this radio is another example of that trend. Even though it's positioned as a budget-friendly option, it includes features that used to be found only on much more expensive units. The touchscreen is responsive and the interface is easy to navigate. Wireless phone integration worked well and allowed quick access to navigation, streaming music, and hands-free communication. The unit also boots reasonably quickly and transitions smoothly between applications. Sound quality is respectable, especially considering the price point. While it doesn't have the advanced tuning options found in higher-end units, it provides enough adjustment to improve the listening experience over factory equipment. What impressed me most is how much functionality manufacturers are packing into these newer stereos. Better software, better screens, improved connectivity, and more customization options are becoming standard rather than premium features. Pros: Excellent value Modern features Easy-to-use interface Wireless phone integration Improved functionality over factory radio Cons: Audio tuning isn't as advanced as premium units Installation requirements vary by vehicle Conclusion: A solid option for anyone wanting modern features without spending premium-brand money.

This is the kind of stereo upgrade that makes an older Silverado, Tahoe, Sierra, or Yukon feel a lot less stuck in the flip-phone era. A 7-inch touchscreen with CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, DSP, and radio support covers the stuff most people actually care about. I like that it is not trying to be a giant tablet bolted to the dash, either. My caution is fitment, because these GM years can still get picky depending on trim and wiring. Good upgrade potential, but measure the dashboard rabbit hole first.

Install was super easy, instructions were very clear and easy to follow. The radio overall works okay. The Bluetooth Apple car play is the problem. Sometimes I get in my truck and it just won’t connect or 20 minutes down the road it will randomly connect and start working as it should

If your truck still thinks it’s 2009 (because… it is), this head unit is a pretty nice way to bring it into the present without replacing the whole vehicle. After installing it, the interior instantly felt more modern—like my truck finally caught up with my phone. The 7-inch touchscreen is responsive and easy to navigate. It’s not “space shuttle control panel” complicated—everything is laid out in a way that makes sense. The Android system runs smoothly for everyday use, and having extra storage means you can load up apps without worrying about running out of space right away. CarPlay and Android Auto are the real stars here. Once connected, it’s super convenient to access navigation, music, and calls without fumbling with your phone. It basically turns your dash into a command center… minus the dramatic movie soundtrack. Sound quality is a noticeable upgrade too. The built-in DSP and EQ settings let you fine-tune things so you’re not stuck with flat or muddy audio.
