Bought this for a 2009 Silverado 1500 Crew Cab (5.3) to replace stock radio and couldn’t be happier. Functions well and has CarPlay integrated into it. Sound is good and customizable with built in digital EQ. Bluetooth will automatically connect once you establish it the first time (your phone’s hotspot and WiFi will disrupt that connection, so be sure WiFi is off and nobody is using your hotspot). Touchscreen works well and the format is customizable through the Android settings menu to suit your preferences. Overall very happy with the purchase and it looks good in the ‘Rado. Let’s talk installation—it is a DIY, BUT you’ll need to identify your connections and rely on the video tutorial as there are no written instructions with it other than the owners manual that deals with the features. The backup camera wiring requires some basic knowledge of how the brake lights and reverse lights work in order to install and you will have to run the wire from the cabin to the wiring harness mounted to the frame at the rear of the truck (the camera red wire goes to the Chevy green wire at the harness). You’ll also want to get the camera license plate universal mount to situate it properly as there is no secure place on the Chevy to screw the camera in place above the license plate. Lastly, once it is installed, connect the device to WiFi and update the software for smooth operation. It is a great value for the price and my only real criticism is that they should probably consider vent holes to allow more airflow for the cooling fan. It’s adequate, but if you live in a hot zone you’ll want to angle an AC vent toward it just in case (an ounce of prevention and all that jazz to keep it from possibly overheating-not that mine has even on a 105 day). If you’re on the fence about it, go ahead a get it. It works just fine.

This radio was a huge upgrade for us, and we just love the screen size. Installation was pretty straight forward and I ran into no issues or drama. I did watch a how to video on removing the factory radio. I have installed many stereos over the years and this one was one of the easier ones. The screen is responsive and the image is crisp and clear. Our phones connect instantly and we have had no connection issues such as dropped signal ect. The cost blows my mind. The last radio I bought cost 3 times as much and was basic compared to what is now offered 15 years later. My Silverado feels a little more modern now, without a modern truck price tag. We could not be happier. 5 STARS

Overall, I'm happy with the unit. However, the display (for the 11.5 inch model) extends from the dash a few inches so in my 2007 Chevy Avalanche, the edge of the unit just ever so slight kisses the column shifter. Which wouldn't be too much of a problem, except due to the proximity, it gets in the way of your hand when shifting. I have contacted support to see if they have an adapter that will inset the unit closer to the dash or some other fix. I may consider the smaller display size although I was looking for a larger display and this is one of the few options.

Wow! A bit intimidating for me as I've never really installed anything other than cheap little decks. The manual is pretty much all about using the interface and contains nothing about the wiring but I managed to figure it out. Just keep your workspace clean and organized while installing as there is a lot of stuff to misplace. Because of the lack of instructions I had to browse listings for several other similar head units to gleen bits and pieces of info, I suggest you do the same if needed you'll find all kinds of helpful info. If you're like me you will be having to access the back a few times even after you think you're done so keep that in mind before really closing everything up. The interface is spectacular for me, its a huge upgrade. I couldn't be happier. The only negative I am encountering is when shifting from park into D my hand is smacking into this display. Hopefully it's just a matter of relearning the muscle memory. I highly recommend this, go for it!

Establishment was not really direct to make everything work, except in the event that you've dealt with vehicles a messed with you can unquestionably sort it out. To the extent that making the unit ready as a radio, it is genuinely fitting and play. Two saddles and it'll turn on with your start and capability as a radio. The reinforcement camera was my greatest hindrance. Directing the wires for it might require another opening in a body grommet. The genuine wiring at the camera was the most troublesome. I attempted to tap/graft into the converse light wiring, it just wouldn't work. Wound up grafting into the white and light green wires in the manufacturing plant hitch television/trailer bridle and it worked following that. Introduced the 2GB Slam 64GB ROM Android 13 head unit in a 2011 Chevrolet Express Van. The head unit and pack are exceptionally finished and accompanied all that you might actually have to introduce this in your vehicle. The head unit and screen itself is wonderful and every one of the parts are of top notch.
