the product has a good hold and will add a bit of the "wet look", but the main drawback is lack of directions - once you apply a bit to damp hair, it seems like you have shampoo in your hair. The scent is nothing much either way.

I was a little worried about some of the reviews describing the product as runny. I was thinking this might be a watered down version of the original. I can say what I received is the same in consistency, fragrance and hold with the same product purchased in a salon. Now a few things. Yes this product is runny compared to a gel or mousse. A little gets you a long ways so don’t use to much. If your hair is wet it will seem more runny so use on dry or semi-dry hair. Yes the fragrance is saddle wood. If you don’t like that, don’t purchase the product. I fine it dissipates within an hour or two and is not that strong. The hold is a loose hold. You are not creating Mohawks with this stuff. But it will allow you to get the hair moving is a direction and keep it there. Also no crunchy feel. If you like the crunchy feel don’t get this product. But I actually like the consistency, fragrance and hold. Yes it’s expensive but the bottle should last a while with normal use. ... show more

I was turned on to the product by my hair stylist as I really like how it easily styled my hair. It is very liquidy, so you need to be careful getting it out of the bottle as you only need a small amount & could end up with much more than you need. The scent is decent, but could be over powering for some. It is best used on slightly wet or dry hair. I normally don't blow dry my hair, but I am considering it when using this product. It should last a long time as you only need a small amount, unless you often use more than is needed or comes out of the bottle on its own. Overall I am very satisfied with the product. ... show more

First the smell: I don't really care about the smell as long the item works as i expected but for those wondering about the fragance of this pomade, let me tell you it smell like those products for cleaning wood furnishing something strong and pungent, but the smell goes away in less than a hour. Second the perfomance: Its a liquid pomade more easy to use and faster than American Crew or any other solid pomade, it does stay and manages to add volume to the hair. If you are looking to style your hair the most natural possible without too much effort this product may be for you, me i still like more the gastby pomades, but this product its really good when you dont have too much time and want a natural look. ... show more

I have been using this product for a 3 years now. I'm 33 years old male. The most important part for me was that ingredients are all natural. It has a specific scent, so I would suggest to go to the store and smell it before buying. If you like it, like I do, product is terrific. It does not grease up your hair and washes out easily, like you didn't had it at all. I had in the past problem with dandruff, but since I started to use this Aveda product it never appeared and my hair looks and feels strong. It feels like bottle lasts forever, and it does. I have read previous reviews and everyone is complaining about the scent. That is absolutely ridiculous. If you don't smell the product before you buy it, it is your own fault.
