I have this under my foam mattress. I didn't want to raise my bed frame on risers, as it is a frame with slats and storage drawers at the foot. They are 2 twin sized foam pieces that I aired out to out gas. I have them tucked in a queen fitted sheet and does its job. With the frame and it being a 14" Novaform mattress, it significantly raised the height that getting into bed can be difficult. Sometimes if I'm really tired I have to enter from the foot and crawl up to the head. I advise for a low frame and mattress for anyone with mobility limitations. I do notice a nice incline and with other reflux treatments, less complications with coughing and choking. ... show more

It was very easy to unwrap and install. I am really glad we read the reviews and bought the 5 inch instead of the 7 inch at first I didn’t think the 5 inch would be significant, but it certainly is. Looking forward to being more comfortable while we sleep, however, I think I will need a new nightstand Lol. I bought a 5 inch mattress lift. I know from previous foam mattress purchases that waiting for them to expand after unpacking takes a long time, and you never quite get what you ordered. For example, the "10-inch" memory foam mattress in my guest room only expanded to a little under 9 inches. So I was surprised that this 5" foam mattress lift actually did expand back to a little over 5 inches. Either the warehouse accidentally labeled the box wrong and sent me a 7" mattress lift, or else they were deliberately generous with the original cut size so that I would get the final size that I wanted. Either way, I'm very happy with the mattress lift. (Tip: I let this expand for 3 full days. The instructions say 2 days is fine, but that's only if you leave it somewhere very warm to expand. It's February in Chicago right now, so "very warm" is not an option.) This is a raw foam pad, so I knew I would want a cover or a sheet or something to keep it clean. Without one, the foam would be a magnet for dirt and cat hair. I ordered the 7" cover at the same time as the mattress lift because all the reviews said the covers run very small. That was a fantastic decision. I can't imagine trying to get a bigger piece of foam into the cover I have. It would have to be put on before the foam had fully expanded and then never taken off again. This is a very firm pad. I put it under my regular mattress and it didn't even squish much with the weight. Even though the advertising says you can put it on top of your regular mattress, I don't recommend it unless you like a very firm mattress or if your regular mattress is terrible. ... show more

Purchased this for under our RV mattress (residential queen size). I have issues with gerd and reflux and this has eliminated it while Camping. It’s a dense but comfortable foam, and isn’t a cheapo “topper” since it’s designed for under mattress use. Being older and having arthritis while camping can be a literal pain, but this has added more comfort and made a mediocre RV mattress into a very comfortable one. Dimension is accurate. ****please note this is a two piece design, not one solid piece.** That being said we have not experienced any shift or movement and it stays in place. It is a full 5” at the head and over an inch at the foot. For RV-ing it also adds insulation under the mattress on those cold camping outings. It has made a huge difference in comfort, warmth and gerd. We are ordering another for use in the house. Since it is in two pieces it could be used under two twin mattresses without much fuss. ... show more

Bought specifically to combat reflux. Tired of sleeping on wedges or stacked pillows. The good: Works as designed, gentle slope, barely noticeable once lying in bed. Reflux seems to be cut way down The bad: Even the 5 inch version adds significant height to the mattress. Plan accordingly. Also, this is just a plain piece of foam. It looks/feels rather overpriced for what it is. Would be nice to get a cover included for the $$$ spent. Would I buy it again: likely, because the reflux changes seem worth it. Do I feel like I got my money’s worth? Not really. ... show more
