Was swapping out light fixtures and outlets to modernize our house during renovations. I purchased this item to make sure wires weren't "hot" while changing out the fixtures. Might be a tad difficult to figure out to work if you haven't previously used a device like this however the instructions were quite clear. Once you read through them it is a fairly simple device to read. I found it produced accurate results comparative to priced devices.

Very solid tool if you're just trying to do basic stuff. Accurate "enough" for everything unless you're making your own circuit boards or something else that requires very precise readings. It'll be off a little bit but logically you can assume if it's close to what you need it to be it probably is and it's working as intended IE a car battery. The no-contact reading is very short range I practically had to jam it into stuff to get a beep. The plastic feels cheap but it's molded fairly thick so it's pretty solid despite that. Has just enough heft to it where it instills some confidence in the user that it's not garbage. Dial's got a satisfying click, screen is nice and big and readable. Backlight is bright. I don't know what genius put the light behind the clamp but it's a feature... I guess. Could have offset it a few centimeters and have it light up inside and beyond the jaws very easily. Case it comes with is super cheap but holds everything in place so it does the job fine.

Bought this primarily to test car battery. Works fine. My neighbor who is a mechanic said this was a great multimeter. I especially liked that it came with a case to keep it organized and all together vs. throwing it in a drawer. Purchased on sale at an excellent price, making this a home run.

I purchased this Multimeter primarily for its clamp design and its ability to detect high counts of amperage. Additionally, the auto ranging and Non-Contact Voltage (NCV) Detection features are quite impressive. The package includes batteries, a case, and all the necessary connectors. Furthermore, the user manual is excellently written.

I need to add remote to an old ceiling fan with lights having a tiny canopy space, and also enter some power estimate data so I can get a much better picture of my energy consumption too. This is the exact equipment I need. There are many fan remote kits but they all have a current limit. The more compact a receiver is, the less current it can handle. The internet yields 0 results to the fan model and all I know is this thing handles at most 3A total, while the receiver’s limit for the motor is 1A max. I used this clamp to clamp around the wall switch load wire so I can see how much peak current it used to start the fan rotation and how much stable current it uses. It’s a half amp fan so that I have a wide variety of remote kits to pick from. This also allow me to estimate energy usage of some lights or even at the panel. Great tool.

During the short time that I've owned this multimeter, I've been impressed with its operation. Matching its readings with calibrated sources it has been giving me acceptably accurate readings of ohms, amps and volts. Its look and feel is more rugged that previous multimeters that I've used. I especially like the way the probes attach to the body of the meter, their apparent ruggedness and that I can expose just the tips of the probes to take readings, which is safer. During my recent installation of a whole-house generator and automatic transfer panel, this meter repeatedly gave me useful, accurate readings that enabled me to evaluate and complete the installation.
