Where we live, we have an issue with hawks circling our chicken coops. This requires us to keep our hens in the coop. However, for them to properly forage and get fresh grass, we then have to move the coops frequently. One of them is quite bit and heavy. We are SO excited to add a solar powered electric door for the girls. This will allow them to safely forage outside the coop, with the ability to dart back in and have the door close either at dusk or quickly in the event of a predator. A family member has one and really appreciated it. We're excited to add this to our coop to improve the happiness of our hens, as well as their safety and health!

The photos were taken as I was unboxing it. This was packaged amazingly and really easy to use with remote. Most of it is already put together for you so you can just put it out where you want it for install. I was afraid of the functionality but it works great. Was scared that i would come out to my chicken being squished by the door but it has an automatic move where it will open back up for it to get back through. Can’t lie, I dropped it on the ground walking it out to the coop and it didn’t even break it or scratch it, pretty durable and so far it’s held up perfectly in the weather from alabama.

I love how this operates. They was skeptical of it at first but once they started seeing how it works they became more comfortable.
