It’s held up well to the elements and the occasional curious peck from my hens. If you have any type of chicken coop, this product is so easy. Inconvenient it comes with a remote but we have our set to the light and as soon as the Sun starts to rise it'll release our girls out to do some grazing and they've learned that once the Sun starts to go down, they have to be back into their cubes. No requirements from us. It's all solar panelled there are power that if you would do not want to use a solar panel, you can use regular power. You also can change the settings to where it is only open for so many hours in a day. The one feature that is the best in my eyes is that if for some reason your chicken has not gotten into the coop as the door is shutting and it's still in the door. It will not shut on your chickens. Again, if you're looking for something easy and convenient, this chicken coop door is for you. ... show more

Everything works like it’s supposed to, feels like good quality. I don’t have any other automatic chicken doors so I can’t compare to another brand, but I was very impressed with this. The door was easy to program. It can be charged via the included solar panel or via a USB-C cord. The door does come with a very short cord to charge from a plug, but it’s not long enough to leave the door in place and charge from a plug located elsewhere. You could use an extension cord, but I find that cumbersome, though possible if necessary. I really like this door. It makes it easy to leave my chickens until I’m ready to wake in the morning, instead of needing to set an alarm and open and close their coop with the sun. Thank you! ... show more

This is so much better than the door I had. So much more functionality. Has a timer you can set, a remote for manual control without having to be in the chicken run, solar powered, the casing is metal so it’s way more secure from predators (previously I had a plastic cased door and it was broken by something trying to get in) so I feel much better knowing my flock is safe at night. ... show more

This is an easy set up. It is solar so perfect for all types of weather. The timer and light sensor is a great feature, along with the remote control. I would definitely recommend getting this door. These chickens are happy happy!!
