I had made a request through customer service and they quickly contacted me back and honored my request. Update: I saw one review that said the app is buggy???NOT!! in my experience. Absolutely not. It was totally easy to set up , you can zero the bowl from the app away from home . I was able to modify the app and the schedules from 600 miles away twice. This is a dependable device, Has never failed. The app is super easy. It’s easy to set up. It has a great app that calculates the food. I can’t even find anything wrong with it. My cat loves it, and so do I. Very quick Customer Service replies, very polite! Thank You PAWSYNC!!!! This is an update. I had to travel on an ounce for a full day, so I set the feeder up for this. It’s really great how when you put the data in on the food and your pets, wait they in species, they calculate the food requirements, which are spot on. I want to have two meals and a snack and you’re able to Custom program this. I was away from home, and I realized I’d forgotten to program a call. I called my cat certain way. I was able to do it 500 miles away and set it up in the app and it worked. You can also dispense, however, amount of food you want if you want to add more food or add a snack or something like that. The hopper lid has a lock on it. It’s well designed. Also you can feel free to shoot. Everything is soft rubber. There’s no opening or anything to trap a cat Paul that is from inquisitive cat like I have it’s very safe.. The food dispensing is accurate and you could always re zero The scale if needed. I’m actually quite amazed at the details of how long it takes my cat to eat how much she eats but the best thing is that you’re notified that the food is dispensed and it is and it’s always on time. I have chosen to slow feed I’m going to try to slow it down even more but the dispenser drops a portion of the food and then a little bit later drops the second portion and then a little later drops the third portion she’s a fast eater because she’s feral she eats everything you put down but fast. She absolutely loves his feeder and the thing I’ve noticed is there’s no more crying at the door because now I have everything portioned and on a schedule the cat really likes this. Feed her treats, and some canned food on the side. All is well. This is the best thing I ever did for my cat and for myself for those early mornings where your cat meals to get fed. Love, love, love this cat feeder. I have three cats who eat three meals a day and share the same feeder, and it’s worked perfectly — everyone gets enough food and nobody goes hungry. We used to have an older automatic feeder that was a nightmare to set up. Changing mealtimes or portion sizes practically required a PhD. I liked the convenience but hated the hassle. This new feeder is amazing. Setup through the app was a breeze, and it weighs each portion so you get the exact same amount every time. It even tracks leftover food in the bowl and adjusts the next portion so it doesn’t overflow — a big improvement over our old one. The app shows how often the cats eat and how long it takes them to finish. If I get the portions wrong, I can just tap a button and serve another. If you have just one cat, you’ll get even more detailed tracking info, but with three sharing a bowl, I can’t use that feature. Overall, I’m very impressed. cat is happy with his new feeder. i have it set to feed him 4 times a day which helps me sleep in. he would like to bother me at all hours of the night for food or wake me up at the crack of dawn for food. you can set message to call him over, but he seems confused when he sees me, but hears my voice across the room. very easy to set up. plug it in download the app and hook it up to wifi and set you meal schedule. app tells you when the food is low or when its time to clean it. comes apart very easy for cleaning. well worth the money. functions as should. plus it nice when i go awy for the weekend for work. no need to find someone to come over and feed my furkid. ... show more

This feeder is a very good value for the money. It's extremely well designed and feels very high quality with premium packaging. Setting it up was very straightforward if you're familiar with similar smart devices. The feeder mechanism has small "cups" that rotate to dispense a portion of kibble. The "Feed" button on the unit will dispense a single portion. Each portion is roughly 10 g or 0.3 oz depending on your kibble brand. This is the minimum that can be dispensed. When creating a "Feeding Plan" in the app you can select how many portions to dispense per meal (up to a maximum of 10 portions). The scale tracks exactly how much was dispensed per meal and how much is currently left in the bowl. I compared the amount dispensed with my kitchen scale and it was spot on. However, the scale isn't perfect. It once got stuck on 2 g when the bowl was empty and I had to zero it out manually. This meant that the food intake for the day was 2 g lower than it should have been. There does not seem to be a way to manually correct this in the app. The one app feature I don't quite understand is how it tracks food intake speed. I would expect this to log how long it takes from the time a meal was dispensed until it was fully consumed (the bowl was emptied). For example, if 30 g of kibble was dispensed at 6:00 am and my cat ate half immediately, then finished the rest at 7:45 am, I would like to know that this size meal lasted her 1 hour and 45 minutes. Instead, the app tries to report how long she was actively eating and how much she consumed during that sitting. This is interesting I suppose, but I'm not sure it's useful to track over time. I also wish the app would tell you how much food was dispensed per meal in the device log. It just says "Meal successfully dispensed" so when you look back at the history you don't know how large that meal was. Overall I would definitely recommend this feeder and hope they can improve some of the app features over time. ... show more
