After looking at many cargo roof racks, I found, based on the reviews, this to be a good choice. I am more pleased with this rack now that I've got it, and on the vehicle. What I LOVE most is the fact that it's a one-piece design; nothing to put together, with exception of the mounting brackets, and shield (very easy to install). Most of these roof racks are of a 2-piece design, which increases the chances of water getting into the tubing, and allowing rust to form. I inspected the welds, and found 'em to be very clean, and professionally done; I couldn't find a way water would get in. The paint job was beautiful, however, I did add another coat of Rustoleum paint (spray-on) for added paint life. I figured since it was clean, new, and dry why not...it was easy. The mounting hardware is very good, and very easy to install. The front shield was also easy to put on, but I recommend adding a second (locking) nut, to prevent the fasters from getting loose, and possibly allowing your shield to fly off. You can take one of the shield bolts to the hardware shore to match. This thing is beefy, and fit perfectly atop my old Toyota 4Runner. I found it to be just what I wanted, and a great value too!!!

This product is quite well made and is in one piece. The faring is already attached and is blank so that you can add your own decals or flair to make it yours. The hardware is a little tall for the type of rail system I have, but should fit well for Toyota or systems that have flat bars that are closer to the vehicle roof. Very sturdy construction. Seller is in USA and that’s a big bonus. Quick shipping from seller. The paint is thick and not cheap like some other racks I’ve seen in this price point. Very happy with this purchase for a Porsche Cayenne. Looks sharp.

We haven't had any long distance trips yet but my initial impression is very good. One piece construction is great, seams appear well done, it's a good weight, feels indestructible, and if tightened down correctly there is no way it will move. Like others have mentioned and as you can see in the picture, the fairing is very flimsy and once you tighten down the bolts it really pulls in the plastic making it look cheap. I will get some metal washers to put behind the plastic so this doesn't happen but just be aware. A few suggestions made by others that I found extremely helpful: use a 3/8" neoprene fuel hose cut to shape and then sliced open down the middle to avoid metal on metal and get a very snug fit; using loctite threadlocker on all screws, and getting a 13mm deep socket for getting a strong ratchet (this just makes install a little quicker). Another recommendation is to not lock your crossbars down (or loosen one of your two) until they are directly between two horizontal bars on the rack- getting everything in place before locking things down will save you considerable time. Also, while I installed everything solo (C channels, crossbars and the roof rack) it would have been nice to have a helper.

Purchased for my 2017 Jeep Renegade. Arrived in about 5 days. Perfect fit! The width is just right, and the front comes right up to where the sunroof opens. Leaves plenty clearance for it to operate. Not sure My Sky panels can be removed with this mounted, but I can always remove the basket if I want the top completely open. The basket arrives in one piece and has a nice, solid feel to it. The paint job was good, but I did spray on a few coats of truck bed liner just to be safe and protect from rust/scratches (plus I like the finish). Mounting wasn't too tricky. I wish the bolts could be tightened by hand instead of needing a tool, but that's a small price to pay for security I guess. The wind noise created by the basket is negligable. At 45mph and under it is just a whisper, easily covered by running the AC on medium. At highway speeds the noise is noticible, but still suprisignly quiet considering how thin the MySky panels are. It isn't much louder than the road noise at that point. Still quieter than running AC on full blast, if you need a comparison. You could totally leave this rack on full time without it driving you crazy. Overall I am happy with my purchase. It should hold up just fine and gives a dash of "ruggedness" to the look of the Jeep Renegade which, let's be honest, it otherwise lacks.

We looked and looked at roof racks and finally decided on this one because it looked sturdy and was not terribly expensive like other racks. We used it for a six hour trip to the beach to haul our dog's crate. We have the XL large 48 inch crate, it did not fit all the way into the rack. We had to put the front part all the way in and then the back part sat up on the back part of the rack. We zip tied it and used some wratchet straps and it didn't budge. We're very happy with it and would buy it again. We used it on a 2019 Jeep Cherokee Latitiude Plus.

Heavy duty, seems solid. Item was warped, and didn't sit flat on my bars. Clamps might have pulled it down flush, but it was a 1/4" off. Also, I didn't read the description. If I did, I would have figured out that this rack is no bigger than a 44" rack. I get why they slope the front end, but why the reverse rake on the backside? It offers nothing, other than to take space away from the interior storage. Really scratching my head. Anyway, solid, very heavy rack that doesn't offer any more useable space than a smaller unit. Wouldn't recommend.
