I bought this scan tool to upgrade from my old code reader. Wanted a bidirectional tool to diagnose more complex issues. After much research this was the tool. I immediately used it to find repair a wiring issue with a evap canister vent solenoid. Was able to manually command it and verify that power and ground was present and then identify where the break was. I also used it to recalibrate hvac system in my other car after replacing an actuator. Pretty easy to use, register, and update. It even has a countdown from the time you registered for the free updates and let’s you know when it’s time to purchase more updates after the year. Tool will still work if you don’t update it after a year. Bluetooth works flawlessly, very happy I bought this and look forward to using it more. Buy it, you won’t regret it.

I was looking for a scanner that would give more options to look into than your typical handheld scanner but didn't want to pay the price of a full fledged Tech 2 or the likes. I've done a couple of LS Swaps in Hot Rods and the Autel MK80 has been a great tool to use. I hook it up to the OBD 2 port and can see all the info I need. My Flashing software that I use to tune the Engine will show me a lot of the same, but not in as neat of a package, and without having to bust out my PC. This is a great Scanner when you need a little more! Thanks Autel, and you make a really nice Drone too!

I called and talked to the product techs from a number of providers of these code readers to insure it would reset my oil light. I had also ordered/received one that stated it did but it had to be returned because it did not. It was hard to invest this much in something that would only be used once a year but I guess it will someday pay for itself by my DIY oil changes. As of now, with a new car under warranty, I don't think (and hope) I don't need it for problem diagnostics for a few more years. Additionally, on my '06 Cayenne S, it does read a whole lot more than my D******** scanner.

I used this scanner to clear a rash of codes on my BMW 335is. It got it back and running and even identified a potential issue with the coolant level. The only thing I don't like is that it asks to register too soon and also the subscription requirement is off putting since I'm not a business.

In order to get this scanner to work you must get a verification code. You enter an email address and they are supposed to send you a code. However, their server was apparently down for two days and I kept getting error codes. I contacted their so-called customer service (just a chat line no phone) and was told I needed to contact the store. I explained several times that the unit was trying to get a code but their only response was "call the seller." I looked up the store and they provided no phone number just the following address "ShenZhenShi Bao'anQuFuYongJieDaoBaiShiXiaSheQuDongQu MeiHuaLu12DongBzuo501 shenzhenshi GuangDong 518103 CN " I tried the unit one more time with different Wifi and it again produced an error when it tried to contact their server. I am glad so many people had good luck with this product. I am 100% unsatisfied,

Was able to find many issues with my car, even leading me to find out that I have blow-by, compression loss and misfires on all cylinders. Easy to use, first time buying scanner like this so I can only compare it to a OBD Bluetooth Dongle but this is waaaaaay more detailed on what all components are doing. If I read that cars before 1996 will not be scanned with this tool and I still bought it then I would give 4 stars. I called Autel several times only to get a message to call back in time. They did however answer my email with in a few hours. I did not clock it. Not a mechanic, but I was able to program my 2017 Chevy fob. Which apparently had to be returned to dealership according to several locksmiths. I'd rather go to the dentist than any dealership. The case gets 5 stars. The product gets 5 stars. But the description and my frustration finding out about OBD 1 &2's after the fact gets it to the 3 stars. Remember Amazon will sell to anyone, even if your qualified or not. Now I can check used vehicles before I buy them. After 01/01/1996

Having used and had several scanners over the years, I was looking to upgrade an older high end unit with something new with better features and wouldn't break the bank. This scanner appears to be just the ticket. So far it performs all the tasks I need and has not disappointed and features can be upgraded for reasonable money.
