So far the tool has been amazing. I especially love the ability to run some custom manufacture specific routines, and the ability to scan specific modules and run diagnosis. Also, being able to reprogram the tpms for new ones is fantastic, or for simple tire rotations. :) The big reason I needed the tool was for some of manufacture specific routines, especially when dealing with customer issues relating to VVL, and other timing issues. That and a better realtime readout for all the sensors to help with diagnosis.

I purchased this unit as I am venturing into DIY automotive projects and troubleshooting. I previously used one of those bluetooth OBD-II scanners that required an app to be installed on your smartphone, but did not provide the functionality that I needed, and was only useful after paying a subscription to be able to view the solutions for the scan codes that it found. I needed a device that was already self-contained and provided the remedies to the scan codes, without the hassle of paid subscriptions. That said, I gave the Autel MaxiPRO MP900TS a try. To date, I only had an opportunity of limited use of the MP900TS, which was to program new Tire Pressure Monitor Sensors (TPMS). As a first time user of the MP900TS and a first-time experience with programming TPMS sensors, I found the effort to be straight forward. The MP900TS can either be used to read any existing functioning TPMS in your vehicle, and use that code to program new sensors; or it could be used with its wireless OBD-II scanner dongle to read the TPMS codes from the vehicle's ECU, and then use those codes to program new TPMS sensors. Overall, the experience was very easy, even for an amateur like myself. Of particular note, the MP900TS will need a paid subscription for future updates. The unit comes with 1-year of software and vehicle updates upon activation of the unit, and it is my understanding that all updates that were applied throughout the year will remain with the unit. That said, in order to be able to use this product on later year vehicles that were manufactured after your last update of the MP900TS's software, you will need to pay for a subscription. Otherwise, the MP900TS is still very capable of being used with all vehicles manufactured prior to your last update of the MP900TS's software/vehicle database. I have yet to use the MP900TS for other complex automotive troubleshooting, waiting for an opportunity to arise, but overall, the device appears to by very capable in diagnosing vehicle problems. As a non-professional, I have no hesitation in recommending this product to the casual automotive DIYer.

Multiple use for most models and functions, this tool will do most functions but not all there is no tool that will do that yet, highly recommended

I bought this tool specifically because it said it could program vehicle modules, and the first car I tried to use it on, it couldn't. The option wasn't even available in the menu for a BMW e39 for the TCM, which must be coded to the serial number of the vehicle it is installed in. So I had to pay $ 300 to have someone else program the module with their tool. Not happy since I could have bought a much cheaper alternative to read and clear codes (I already have two other OBD2 tools - one by Foxwell ). This tool is better than the Foxwell overall and could find and interact with more modules (BCM, cluster, etc) but since it didn't do the one thing I bought it for versus a $ 600 tool - and at $ 1200, it's not cheap. Also - when I got the tool there were literally 200+ updates to do on the tool and the VCI - which took almost a day to download and install.

The product works really well. It works way better than the older models. Received it in a reasonable amount of time so I was able to use the product on a client's vehicle. In usage, product ran really smooth. I have no complaints.
