It does works and it’s good. these scanners for a long time and have tried many of them, so I can confidently say this one offers great value for the price. It’s easy to use, performs smoothly, and doesn’t slow you down. I’ve been a technician for almost 16 years and work on a mix of vehicles every week. I picked up the Autel Ultra Lite because I needed a professional tool that could handle multiple makes at a reasonable price. I used it on a 2016 BMW 4 Series, and it worked amazing. The VIN number been pulled right away. The topology view is one of my favorite features because it clearly shows which modules are communicating and where the issue might be. I was also able to access programming, coding, and setup functions. The layout feels close to factory-level software, especially for BMW. Live data is smooth, easy to read, and allows multiple PIDs without lag, which makes diagnosing intermittent issues much easier. Coverage is strong as well. The brand list supports a wide range of vehicles, not just the basics. Last but not the least, this is more than just a basic scanner. It’s a professional-level tool that can handle real shop work.

I’ve never had a bad device from Autel. I work in a shop, and we go through scanners and diagnostic tools pretty often, so I’ve used my fair share of them. When it was time to upgrade, I spent a few weeks looking around, watching videos, comparing features, and even considering Snap-on. At the end of the day, though, I kept coming back to Autel. The Snap-on tools are nice, but I couldn’t justify spending several times more when the Ultra Lite seemed to offer everything we actually needed (and at a cheaper price point too!). So far, I’m glad I went with it. For the price, I expected it to perform well, and it hasn’t let me down. I’ve already used it on several vehicles in the shop, and it’s been fast, easy to navigate, and reliable. I’m still learning some of the more advanced features, but my first impression is very positive so far. It feels like a solid scanner and a good investment. No complaints.

Works as expected. Easy to set up, and I think it has the biggest screen of any scan tool out there. It also has a nice charging stand, which was one of the reasons I chose it. Lots of useful features and it's helped me out a few times already. Good scanner so far.

I purchased this ultra lite on 4/15 and received it by 4/18. The scan tool has been back in the storage case yet. I have used a few Autel tools before, and this is my third one. Autel’s quality and support have always been reliable. This is easily the most powerful one I’ve used so far. I watched a few videos on YouTube before buying, and it pretty much match what I saw. Tons of functions, wide vehicle coverage, and it handles most jobs without needing to switch tools. Definitely better suited for professionals.

The problem with my vehicle was that it was running rough. Hopefully only a bad plug or plug wire -- but which one? With my luck it would be the last one I check if done the old fashioned way, by Guess and by Gosh. But I have an AL539, and it told me right away. Whoopee, what's not to like!? Fixed it right away and didn't end up with bruised and bloodied hands. What I don't like is that the manual is one of the worst manuals I have ever seen. I know manuals because, being a design engineer, I have had to write them every so often, and they must be written for users who know nothing about the subject, and want to know as little as possible yet still get the job done. The manual was incredibly difficult to read, just as boring, and had a relatively worthless index, so I eventually gave up. Then I downloaded an online version just to make sure it was up to date. Why? Because with an electronic manual I can do automated searches for the information I want and skip all the Mickey Mouse gibberish in the paper manual. One more thing. I read in some of the stuff I received with the tester that I should immediately update it before using it. So I wasted a lot of time trying to figure out what that was all about ... is the update on the disk or do I have to download it? Finally gave up and called the factory and asked to talk to someone. Got someone and that person said the tester hasn’t been changed for a very long time and there is no reason to update it -- just use it. Then why all the stuff that said I had to update it??? Oh, and another thing. The instrument is kinda cool because you can set it up for different languages. But there’s a menu item within that unit that is dead stuck on only communicating in Spanish. Nothing I tried would change that. If I had a clue what it says, I’d let you know, but …

This Ultra Lite is the fastest scan tool i have ever used,totally different from many other scan models I used to hook up to,which gives me a fresh new user experience.Right out of the box,this professional-level diagnostic device is surprisingly easy to use and pretty powerful in vehicle diagnostic work.It saved me pretty much time nearly on every job I worked on,with its super quick boot-up time,the great ability to look at live data and bi-directional controls to All available systems,even better,while not being bound by a single cord.And better yet,the minimal setup was involved.You only need to take a few minutes to register the device in order to perform some updates to get the newly features supported.Anyway,you are still able to use the device out of the box within 5 minutes if you choose not to update it.Overall,this is absolutely a great deal.
