If you’re doing diagnostic work on newer cars you know the hassle of needing these adapters to bypass the SGW module. I’m glad that they’re available and come from good brands like Autel. This adapter is constructed well. It has a nice large OBD2 connector that allows for good grip and ergonomics. The connector has a spring metal retaining tab instead of the plastic notch that some have. This makes removal and installation way easier. The rubber coating on the connector is thick and durable. It is molded over the wires to provide strain relief and damage caused by bending the wires. The wire leads have a tough jacket that is flexible there is shrink tube at the ends of the jacket to protect the wires from bending damage and also gives a more finished look. The terminals are inserted securely into the connector housings. The connectors fit securely into the factory connectors and match up like a factory fit. The cable functioned well with my Launch scan tool and I didn’t have any issues. I think for the price this is a good value. You’re getting a good quality cable from a well known brand. I definitely recommend this adapter.

This allows to bypass the security modules that all chryslers have, even with AutoAuthority subscription this allows you to do all and any program/coding which some things you are still locked out of with Auto Authority subscription if you are a auto repair shop business. If you are an individual this is the only way to bypass the security.

I picked this up to finally get around the annoying security gateway issue on my 2019 Dodge Ram. It functions well doing what it’s supposed to do — once you plug it in you can actually talk to the truck with a code reader or tune tool without having the gateway blocking everything. Giving great accuracy. That part was nice to see, and for the price you can’t beat that basic function. That said, the cable itself feels pretty budget-y and a bit flimsy compared to dealership or higher-end options. The connectivity or compatibility was spotty, I had to fiddle with the connection more than once to get a solid link, and it doesn’t come with great instructions or any sort of good labeling on the wires. If you’re comfortable figuring things out on your own it’s fine, but not great for a first-timer. It’s a handy little tool if you’re just doing drops, simple programming, or setting up your own tuning gear, but I wouldn’t rely on it as a permanent solution or for heavy daily use. Three stars mainly because it works, but it’s very much “budget watch” rather than “dealership quality.”

This works well, it connects to my scanner no problem and was used and compatible with my 2019 ram 2500 with zero problems, and i was able to diagnose my own truck without a dealer looking at is and costing me hundreds of dollars. It was easy to connect, and allowed me to get through the dreaded secure gateway, allowing me to use all the features of my scanner. Overall, amazing bypass that allowed me to get through the dreaded gateway.

This Autel Security Gateway bypass does exactly what it is supposed to do. It allowed my Autel Km100 tool to communicate fully with FCA vehicles that have the Secure Gateway Module, without errors or connection issues. Installation is straightforward. Plug it inline between the vehicle and the scan tool, follow Autel’s normal authorization steps, and full diagnostics and bidirectional controls become available. No coding tricks, no workarounds, and no reliability problems so far. Build quality feels solid and it works seamlessly with Autel equipment. If you own an Autel scanner and need access to FCA vehicles that are otherwise locked out, this is the correct and legitimate solution.
