I’ve been using the Autel MaxiSys Elite Pro II in my shop, and it’s easily one of the best diagnostic tools I’ve owned. The scan speed is incredibly fast, the topology mapping makes troubleshooting much easier, and the bi-directional controls work flawlessly. ECU coding and programming have been reliable, especially on European vehicles like VW, Audi, BMW, and Mercedes. It also supports newer protocols like CAN FD and DoIP, which is a huge advantage when working on late-model vehicles. The tablet is responsive, the battery lasts all day, and the wireless VCI connection is stable. Regular software updates keep it current with newer vehicles, and the vehicle coverage is excellent for both domestic and import brands. If you’re a professional technician or own a busy repair shop, the MaxiSys Elite Pro II is absolutely worth the investment. It has saved me countless hours in diagnostics and programming and has quickly become one of the most valuable tools in my toolbox.

Did a lot of looking around before buying. Wasn't going for cheap, just wanted something that actually works on the lift. Honestly, this thing surprised me. J2534 actually works, not just on paper. Hooked it up with wiTECH, ISTA, messed with SDD and FJDS. Programming and coding all ran fine. No weird drops, no guessing. Pulling OE info normally just makes me feel safer hitting start. DOIP and CAN FD matter more than people think. Some new GM cars won't even talk without it. This connected right away. Tried a few Mercs too, S-Class W223, E-Class W214, SL R232. Everything came up and tests worked. Ran a scan and service reset on a 2026 Audi A3 yesterday, no issues. Not perfect. Pricey, not small, definitely not tossing it in a backpack. But I wanted dealer-level access, not a glove box scanner. Not for weekend DIY. If you actually diagnose cars in a shop every day, it makes sense to have

From a professional standpoint, this scan tool offers significant capabilities for diagnosing even the most challenging drivability issues. It stands out with its robust data logging features and its ability to highlight flagged points within the data. This is something I haven't encountered in any other professional scan tool before. Maybe this is something Autel has done for a while, but this is the first I have heard of it. For its price level, I honestly suggest this as a great scan tool for any do it your selfer or as a professional diagnostician that may want a more affordable drivability, data logging scan tool. I've been a mechanic for about eighteen years. Moved to a new shop last year, and when we needed another scan tool, the guys all said go with the Elite Il Pro.I hadn't used Autel before but decided to try it. Bought one myself so the shop could test it out. After two weeks, I'm really happy with it. Full scan runs fast, programming is smooth. Don't have to waste time looking up 0EM part numbers or guessing which file fits. Data stream is clean too, easy to check multiple systems without switching back and forth. Feels way smoother than my old Snap-on or Star tools. Had one issue doing a DPF regen on an F-150. The function didn't go through, so I reached out to support. The rep actually knew their stuff, asked if I stopped midway, how long the DPF light had been on, and about the truck's driving habits. Didn't expect a support person to talk like a tech. When you spend this kind of money and get that level of help, you know you bought the right tool. Interface makes sense, reports look good, and it runs quick. Been using it every day. Once you get used to it, hard to go back to anything else.

I purchased this tool in December 2021 so this tool is still under warranty. The problem is that you have to pay return shipping to autel and go without your 3k scan tool for months till its fixed. Save yourself the bs and hassle and buy a better brand. I have been in contact with autel and they pretty much told me good luck.

Since I purchased this tool I have almost a month a go I have almost paid it off I have coded modules calibrated steering angle sensors checked and cleared codes put brakes into service mode to change pads used tool to bed rear pads on a Porsche register battery replacement on cars oil changes service reset checked abs sensor faults live data for a lot of cars and modules programmed keys on an older Honda accord mind you this tool isn’t for keys they have another one that covers that they have one for tire pressure sensors I haven't tried to do radar calibrations yet I did code a module on a bmw on line but it took forever because it needed to update other modules to the latest I level before coding new module tool is good not a dealer tool as long as you understand that it does a lot and not everything you will love the tool I am looking to buy the key programming tool next this is an awesome seller fast shipping

I bought this Autel because it has so many bi-directional functions that I use on a regular basis and the screen size is so much bigger, which makes using the machine easier on the eyes. If you plan to program modules, this is the tool for you with the J2534, included with the scanner. Many modules on automobiles must be programmed to function properly and this scan tool makes it a snap. The relearn can get you out of hot water sometimes but more often than not you have to program the module. If you plan to program keys, this will be a handy tool. I did check around and compared other scan tools with the Autel and I couldn't find a better scanner for the money. Since I have owned Autel's for years, I may just be partial to this scan tool but then again, Autel has never let me down and others have. I'm very happy with my purchase as I started to just keep using my old scan tool but this one had so many more functions and the best part for me, bigger screen, more bi-directional functions along with the option to program if you run into a problem and relearning won't fix it.
