I bought this for heavy trucks knowing that it would handle automotive application protocols as well. I found no extensive list stating what trucks this would work for but it uses the two truck protocols supported by many HD manufacturers. In the last week I have pulled codes on a 2009 subaru, a 2017 gmc sierra, a late model 28,000 pound tandem axle Mack truck, a 2023 Western Star with a Peterbilt, and a late model John Deere tractor. I was able to pull codes, clear codes, and pull lots of data pids on all applications. Everything I tried this thing on worked. I am confident that it will pull codes on just about everything. No bi-directional and no forced regen options but I knew that going in. Amazing scan tool for the price.

It hooked up, read the codes, but would not play them back on either the device or when hooked up to the computer. The device wasn't recognized in it's own computer software and would only be recognized in update mode, but you couldn't back out of it.

I have a Freightliner mt45 with a strange J1939 port and this works great with it. Was broken down in Mexico and it helped me figure out what was going on and what I needed to get it running again. Definitely recommend.
