I used to work with the old MK908, and honestly, that tiny 8-inch screen was rough. The 10.1-inch display on this one makes a huge difference—super sharp and easy to read, even under those harsh garage lights that usually make everything look washed out. No more squinting or second-guessing data. Feature-wise, it covers everything—ECU coding, bidirectional control, oil reset, ABS bleeding, auto VIN scans for every ECU—you name it. Just last week, I had a BMW X5 G05 in the shop. The owner wanted the auto start-stop disabled, and I handled that with no problem. I also activated the “fold mirrors on lock” feature—stuff that a dealership would easily overcharge for. Did it all through the hidden “Expert Mode,” smooth and easy. Compared to cheap clones out there, the MS906 MAX feels like a legit, pro-grade tool. It's not just a scanner—it's like having a solid shop assistant.

As a small - time mechanic running my own shop. I need tools that are reliable and cost effective. The Autel MS906 MAX fits the bill perfectly. I had a customer come in with a Chrysler that had some reallly strange electrical issues. The MS906 MAX’s ability to unlock the Chrysler FCA safety gateway was a life saver. It allowed me to dig deep into the vehicle’s electrical system and find the root cause of the problem. Which turned out to be a faulty relay that was hidden in a complex network. I was able to fix it in no time, and the customer was impressed. The bidirectional control feature is also incredibly useful. I can now test components like actuators and solenoids directly from the scanner, which helps me diagnose problems much faster. And the fact that it covers so many vehicle brands means I can take on more diverse jobs without having to invest in multiple expensive scanners. This is the one purchase that’s already paying for itself.

Pros: The kit comes with lots of adapters and the unit itself is very capable. Battery life has been good and the screen is brite and easily readable. The Bluetooth vehicle interface is nice to have and the range easily covers a typical shop or garage. The software mirrors the factory tools for each manufacturer. This is a pro and a con as chevy asks a million unnecessary questions, but if you're familiar with the factory tool for a make, you should be able to pick up the autel pretty quickly. The unit is sturdily built. I have no doubt it can survive a fall or ten. Cons The cons aren't too bad if you're reviewing it purely as a tool doing a specific job. If, however, you want to use this as a multipurpose device, the tablet hardware will leave you wanting more. The hardware is laughable for the price. We're talking $100 chinese ebay tablet specs. The speakers are on the back and are quiet, so if you need to watch a video, use something else. It runs android 4.4.2. Google is on android 11! Don't expect to easily add other apps, either. The play store is nowhere to be found. Side loading is your only option.

Lo que NO me gusta es que llevo 1 año con el y ahora me pide comprar una actualización que me sale como 500 dólares mas. Ya he pagado suficiente por el y por el cambio de idioma a Español. Quisiera saber si hay modo de usarlo son actualizar los módulos que me pide. Lo uso poco casi solo para uso personal y familiar.
