Description

10 sheet micro shred paper shredder with 5 gallon pullout basket. Advanced Jam Free Technology eliminates paper jams The jam free sensor detects over capacity and shredding will not start to prevent paper jams The shred size of 5/32" x 15/32" has a continues shred of 12 minutes on and 45 off. The small particles reduce the frequency of having to empty the basket less often. This Aurora shredder is very well designed. The micro-cut style provides great security, and the motor is very quiet. The basket is large and very easy to empty making shredding papers less unpleasant. One of the best features is that it is on wheels, so it is easy to roll out of the way into the closet when not in use. Hopefully, I won't let the pile of papers to be shred build up so much. The media could not be loaded. I don’t usually write reviews unless a product truly stands out-and this paper shredder definitely does! I’ve been working through piles of junk mail, old bills, and other documents for hours over the past few days, and this machine has handled it all like a champ! What really impresses me is its durability and performance. Unlike my old shredder, which would overheat and force me to stop every 10 to 15 minutes, this one hasn’t overheated once. It just keeps going! So far, I’ve filled four large trash bags with shredded paper and it’s still running smoothly. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because, although it claims to handle up to 12 sheets at once, the machine seems to struggle and slow down when I try that. In my experience, it works best with 5 to 7 pages at a time for smooth and efficient shredding. ... show more

This shredder is absolutely worth every penny. I had four boxes of old documents that needed to be shred. Just for reference the box sizes for 12” x 12“ x 12“. this shredder went through all four boxes with absolutely no problem whatsoever. This shredder is so quiet, I could watch TV while I was shredding. The power is excellent. If you place something into it, that is a little bit too thick for it to shred, the shredder will stop and then after a few seconds it will go in reverse which is a nice feature. It also stops when the bin is full. I highly recommend the shredder, and one more time. It is definitely worth the price. ... show more

Great home paper shredder! I found myself inundated with files of paper containing sensitive data after becoming the executor of the estates of three family members in a row, one of whom held onto every tax filing and medical record for the past 40 years. After looking at the pros and cons of multiple shredders I settled on this one, and am astounded at how efficiently and quietly it shreds. While it is rated for up to 12 sheets at a time, I choose to max it at half that for the most part. Yes, it can do 12, but you can hear the change in how it sounds - it's obviously working harder, so I prefer not to risk overloading it or having it overheat, and just keep continuously feeding smaller batches. Its pretty sturdy, although I wish the pullout receptacle basket were thicker plastic and didn't have as much flex to it as it does. The shredded pieces are about 3/8" x 1/8" which I like. I've had no issues with it jamming and it chops up staples with ease so you don't have to worry about removing them. Very pleased with this purchase. ... show more
