I replaced a cheap shredder that I got from Staples, which I would always spend 10x longer clearing out jams or waiting for it to cool down than actual shredding! Not the case at all with this product - it has a built-in cooling fan and oversized blades, so it just keeps on going. And it's incredibly quiet - my laser printer is louder than it! One minor downside - but probably an important part as to why it doesn't jam - the slot is very thin, so you can only feed in maybe 4 sheets at once. I have the shredder and it is set up. I chose this shredder that was more expensive because I thought it would last longer and it might. But, the one thing that I HATE the most about this product is it was not build in America and the documentation was not written by anyone who is fluent in English. The document is poorly written and what in the WORLD is a "chink?" I had to read and read to understand what they writer was trying to convey and in the end, I just did what I thought made the best sense. The product works, it's loud as most shredders are. I'm praying that it will be ok. If I had it to do all over again, I'd REMEMBER to look at where it was manufactured. ... show more

I was a little skeptical at first because I had never heard of this brand of shredder but I bought it and I couldn't be happier. It is maneuverable, and great for home office or personal use. Reasonably quiet and I would say about as loud as my HP Printer which is right by it. Great capacity. I've had this for 2 days. I've shredded a lot documents. Overall I like it. I would, however, like the opening to be a little wider. I find myself having to line it up a little to insert the paper. I think if it were a little wider that would help. It is quiet enough. I've been feeding it multiple docs (about 10-15) at a time. I've put my own trash bag in. Sometimes, but not always, I have to not fit both sides over the edges of the basket in order to close it. ... show more

My father recently passed end of May so I'm currently cleaning out my parents house. Needless to say, he kept everything- I've got files from 1980 to current, millions of documents to shred. He had a Staples professional series shredder, which overheats in 10 minutes and takes forever to cool off. Extremely frustrating when you've got piles of documents to shred. Bought this shredder and my husband and I have been shredding for almost 2 hours straight with no issues. It hasn't overheated, doesn't jam. I finally had to replace my Quill paper shredder that I bought in 2012. I looked a lot before selecting this one. I wasn't sure about the Bonsail brand but, then I found a couple of rating sites that rated it in the top 2 or 3 shredders. I'm glad I ordered it. It is a good height and the basket is a nice size. I like the functions on this shredder and it operates quietly and efficiently. I don't think I have put the whole 15 pages in at one time, maybe 12 or so and it worked fine.
