àpp did not recognize device tried 3 different ones before found one that recognized the device but car don't have checvk engine light so shows no codes don't know if it's actually working or not

Either item I received is faulty, or will not work on newer phones? I have a very current phone- Google Pixel 6 Pro, and I cannot get the device to show up on Bluetooth at all. Will be returning as there is no way to connect.
